Arturo Vidal

Arturo Vidal is probably the best defensive midfielder in the world in my opinion.
And the price tag would be £40 or more. The other thing is why would he move from Juventus, who are still in the Champions League and are top of the Serie A table (basically guaranteed to win the league) to come to second place City when we can't even win a game in the champions league.

Some players, money simply can't buy and I think Vidal is one of them.

I think Vidal, as most other players, could be bought, but it would cost too much money. But as you say, he couldn't really ask for anything better than what he has at Turin.

Let's try to find the new Vidal instead. Easier said than done.

I think Vidal, as most other players, could be bought, but it would cost too much money. But as you say, he couldn't really ask for anything better than what he has at Turin.

I wonder what Maicon's wage is?
I'm sure it could be used to improve on our scouting network.
The club shouldn't just be dominating the transfer market, we should have a scouting network to rival the best in the world. We should have at least one scout in just about every European League. Scouting young players is the way forward for us. Finding players like we did with Vinny and Zaba.

Yes.
But as for the DM position it's tricky; we can't only buy and develop a young player for the future, but must strengthen the position asap!
Banega, Beat, maybe Camacho (Malaga)... not too expensive players who would undoubtedly make us a better team.

Then again I now have to admit I really rated Garcia before he came here, and he hasn't at all lived up to my expectations. Not saying he's crap though, but we need someone better.

He' improving over time.
He'll never be worth the £18m we paid for him, but not many defensive midfielders are worth that. We should have just kept De Jong in my opinion.

Rather go for someone more affordable/young like Koke at Atletico. He has a £15m buyout clause apparently.
