Arturo Vidal

Is Tim Sturtridge a reliable source? I don't listen to talkSPORT but he is their South American guy.

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.talksport.co.uk/radio/extra-time/121005/sturtridge-mancini-has-told-man-city-bosses-he-wants-vidal-182425" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.talksport.co.uk/radio/extra- ... dal-182425</a>

Vidal is probably worth paying around £26million for considering our past deals, but the reason I can't see it is because even if Juventus agree to sell, they will ask for something astronomical like £40million. And the original story says we already considered a swap and Juve were asking big numbers so what will change next summer? Maybe Soriano can make a difference but the Italian clubs are a nightmare. Maybe we should find the next Vidal who can be bought for around £10million right now instead of waiting for that one to go to a top side and triple his value within a year! Pedro Obiang maybe?

THEY HAVE LOST TIM VICKERY!!! Well I guess I won't be listening to anymore of their radio programming. Sturtidge would apear to be the new cheaper option so I would question his reliability, also why could n't they have asked their Italian expert seen as there would surely be whispers of a move coming out of Italy, anybody know much about Gary Medel, energetic DM also Chilean, I don't think he is as well-rounded as Vidal but would he be worth a look as an alternative.

It was rumored Juventus turned down an 80mil deal for Vidal and Marchisio in the summer from Bayern.

Can't see them letting him go for less then 45-50.

Best thing about Goal.com is the comments:

not for sale... wait maybe both clubs can make a deal, something fair for vidal would be: aguero + dzeko + kompany + 40M

NO DEAL

Vidal has been a very good player for a while; I guess he had his heart set on Serie A though (Juve, Milan etc are still a big lure for a lot of players) as no doubt several PL clubs would willingly have taken him when he left Leverkusen.

If he decides he wants to try the PL in the future, then sure we'll be in for him.
Chelsea and Arsenal. He made it clear early on it was Italy for him

I doubt that there is anything in that story.

Not after what happened in 2011. Bayern was going for Vidal in 2011 - and that story did not run that clean from Vidal's side. After that a buy of such a mercenary would go contrary with anything Bayern always wanted their players to be.

At this point, spend what it takes. If we fail, we'll just end up blowing half the amount on a English midfielder we'll be looking to offload in 3 years.

Like many have said, Benat would be a good signing for relative peanuts.

Yes another from talksport but we are interested in Vidal.

30 Million is pricey but its the kind of player we need. There were in for Dzeko at one point so maybe a swap deal of sorts.

Great player, personally I like Marchisio more but can´t see Juve letting him go and he would cost to much.

An excellent player but it would be extremely difficult to prise him away from Juventus.

Pay what they ask if there's some money left :)

in words of 'Arry - top, top, top player

I think our problem is that we fancy players who wear ( Juventus, Bayern, Milan, Inter,Barca or Madrid) shirts.

They are not good enough until they wear those shirts.

Pogba was not good enough few months ago, and know he is one of the best young DMF.

And there are so many players we undermine if they play for average teams, and over rate them if they are playing for the TOP Europe teams.

I know Vidal is excellent player, but so is Fernandinho for example. And I am sure there are so many quality players who are as good as Arturo and maybe better with cheaper price.
