Exactly. He is amazing player, I'd rather have him than Yaya, he is that good. Would score as much as Yaya and he is warrior on the pitch.

Seriously he is probably the most complete football player there is now. Could play in any position bar the goalkeeper. World class in a few of them, like box to box and attacking mid, and very good in the other positions.

I don't think we need a jack of all trades though do we? Surely if we want to replace Yaya then we'd want someone who specialises in dominating the ball in the middle of the park, retaining possesion, while offering the creativity to find the killer ball, as that is Yaya's main role in the team isn't it? It's not like we need a defensive gladiator to replace his fantastic defensive work, or someone who can fill in elsewhere, any replacement for Yaya would be the main man in our midfield and we should be aiming for the best possible person for that specific job? Obviously if the best person for that role is Vidal, then the other stuff he offers is a bonus, but the main thing should be his ability to replace Yaya's role in the team

Class player though.

Yaya is a very unique blend of talents that I don't think can be matched by anyone in world football. Vidal wouldn't replace him he would just add another world class midfielder to our squad.
No one can replace Yaya.

Vidal would come in and do a superb job though.

Vidal is more like Ferna than Yaya so would prefer Fabregas over him and Vidal has been plagued by knee injuries this season and will play in the world cup despite undergoing surgery recently. The only worry with Fabregas is that he might string us along like he did with the Rags.

I'd go for Fabregas - proven at the top level and offers a goal/attacking threat.
