We're doing it, as you named it Poznan, for a long time on stadiums in Bosnia. It's meaning is different from country to country, but in Bosnia it is done when opponents are losing, to made their fans look like shite and brain fukd. Turning your back toward the opposite fans would mean, if said by words: We can't even look at you how shitty you are. That's why the Poznan against rags was absolutely awesome.
