Asahi partnership... New beer in the ground

It was only applied if spending over a Tenner and obvs if you asked.

Didn't try yesterday as didn't qaulify so can't confirm if still available, some comments suggest it was though.
That’s not the case where I am. They’re happy to apply it regardless of how much you spend.

Interesting...if you don’t mind me asking which block/stand is this?

Am in SS3 & chaps next to me mentioned £10 requirement & I didn’t bother to find out due to humongous queues yesterday.

Not where I was. Two pints of that new lager with a discount. The girl didn’t even ask for proof. Just said..”Season ticket holder, yeah?” And had tapped in the amount before I even answered.

2 pints of Asahi is over a Tenner.
(£5.30 a pint I think) although the price you paid doesn't work out at less 10%

I was only quoting previous seasons experience and didn't use it yesterday so maybe the rule and rate discount has changed.

Least you got a discount on whatever you had ;-)

Was much better than the piss we’ve been served in recent years. The plastic glasses made a big difference too compared to those paper cups.
Glad to know, spent 35 wasted minutes in the queue, had to give up!

I went to see Liam Gallagher at the stadium in the summer. Multi pourers in all the bars in the stands. Why on earth they don’t do that I will never know. I don’t think people are expecting a top notch pint but having them pre poured to serve that many people would make it so much easier imo
Yeah, I'd prefer a beer that's been sat out for 10 minutes than a 30 minute queue. It normally gets a bit better as the season goes on, I guess they're agency staff, some of them looked scared to death on the tills, but it was really bad yesterday.

I’m in the North/Family Stand and the queues yesterday were probably the worst I’ve ever seen them. Snaking back so that they were actually blocking the entrances to the stands which I’ve not really seen before.

Felt a bit for the staff though. They were largely kids who were inexperienced and overwhelmed by the demand on such a hot day. A few people were giving them grief but we’re rightly getting pulled up by others for it. Give them a break, ffs. The club were ultimately responsible rather than some youngsters on minimum wage.

You can always try and improve things but unfortunately there’s no easy solution to about 30,000 people all wanting to buy a pint at exactly the same time without queuing for more than a few minutes.

2 x £5.30 = £10.60
10% = £1.06
£10.60 - £1.06 = £9.54
I can’t sleep!!
