3 mates in a pub! i used to live and work in Tameside i have a lot of contacts still including an ex workmate whos son is in the Mercian Regiment and was on the parade monday

This is what i can gleen from my Ashton mates, tensions have been running high in Tameside for weeks as some people were not happy that the Mercian Regiment were parading on Monday in Stalybridge and Dukinfield after their tour of duty in Afghanistan.
Gangs of Muslims were active around Tameside but especially in Ashton which has a large Pakistani Bangladeshi community, there was also trouble in Hyde nothing mainstream but non Muslims were harrased and attacked, the Muslims who attacked the youngsters were unlucky that they were caught on camera.
There are rumblings in the rougher boozers of Tameside that if things carry on in this vein then people will come onto the streets this weekend and take matters into their own hands.
Thats not off me so do not shoot the messenger, i just know people from Ashton

I was around Dukinfield Town Hall on Monday i'll tell you what I was unhappy about was a British Army returning home from a tour of duty required more Police Officers than I've ever seen in and out of gardens with dogs all over the place, I've got a bad feeling that the multi culture ideal may not work to well if you have Countries within Countries I fear the worst very difficult for people with two different agenda's to live in harmony and unless there's a bit more coming together it could end badly.

I will take your advice cookie and leave it for now but as i said i am going to a funeral in Ashton tomorrow and i will talk to people face to face, if its bullshit i will come on here and say so, if its not i will have more to say

I'm not saying there are no incidents there probably are,just like there are in many other towns
I can honestly say I've never seen anything,or even heard of anything untill I seen the video posted
I live in another part of Ashton away from the area mentioned so i don't see what goes on tbh,but i did get told it's been blown out of all proportion.

You've got to worry about the mental health of people who want to take an interest or give strong opinions (other than "that's wrong") about a bunch of kids fighting with another bunch of kids about the sort of bullshit that kids fight about.

Something that happens every day, all over the country.
