Asda Eastlands takeover?

This Asda takeover is just a bullshit rumor. Nobody at Asda has even looked at the deal as there isn't one to be looked at.
 
I can understand if this Asda was located nearby (even in a more compact form) but to shift it a fair few miles away in Fallowfield? I know there's an ASDA in Longsight, but selling off the 'Eastlands' ASDA and not rebuilding close by leaves a giant supermarket sized hole in that part of East Manchester and it does tend to get fairly busy there...

The Manchester Grammar School sponsored Free Primary School is due to relocate from its temporary site in Ancoats to a new permanent site in New Islington in 2014. Appropriate further provision for schools will be made where necessary, supported by the City Council. Central Retail Park is due to be redeveloped by its owner, Henderson, to deliver a new supermarket and other retail and restaurants as well as creating a better link through from Great Ancoats Street into New Islington.
