Run rate isn’t great 4 down ain’t bad the spin that lion is getting be gone when we bowl pitch be a bit faster flatter, like they say you can’t tell how good the runs you get till the other team has a bowl.

The over rating of this Australian team has reached rag proportions in the build up to the first test. Their lightning quick bowlers were going to skittle out our batsmen apparently. Any score over 350 puts us in the driving seat as this Aussie team can not bat.

Be interesting how this pitch will be in the next few days personally I think it will become easier and not as much spin as lions getting now until the 5th day 400 is minimum for me.

Yeah, even Boycott managed more than 12 in a day and no one was slower than that Barnsley chop, sorry, chap. (He did come from Barnsley, or was that Dickie Bird?)

Decent day, England would be delighted with a draw with the next test being the day/night game. Good to see the three batsmen under the most pressure look comfortable and getting runs.
