could we have really won this test without the rain breaks ????

yes cooks big double hundred give england over 150 lead but on that wicket it was never going to be enough to put pressure on them and england did not have any answers to bowling them out and with about 60 overs lost to rain and time took out of the game and did england have a chance of winning the test match on merit i don't think so

moeen ali part time spin bowling is shocking and desperate root's spin bowling took the wicket that's how bad moeen is and i will never understand why picking him just for his spin bowling option and also his batting is well below par to have him in the team for his batting and must not play in the final test and give somebody else a chance even add another batter at 5 or 6 and let root bowl his part time spin

yes its looks a good result for england and the draw stops the whitewash but for me we did not have enough really to win this test and the rain help england getting the draw not them but if they had a full 5 days of cricket england would have lost batting last on that wicket and the pressure of winning and chasing over 250 on a dead wicket would be to much of a ask and they would have won easy with there spin bowler and the ball keeping low even rolling at times LBW would have took the wickets
 
I hope Crane has a better debut than Kerrigan did. We need a proper spinner in the team.

Yeh, I was there when he made his debut, we could all see he wasn’t up to it. How we payed Middlesbrough over £2million for him i’ll Never know......
 
Cook always gives me the Heebie Jeebies. He looks super solid but sometimes his footwork is off and I'm never comfortable watching him swing and miss like he does. But he's doing so well to not bite some of their bowling bait, which is all you really ask for an opener.

I have a feeling that Vince could score well here, but that's reliant on Cook not getting out for me.
 
Decentish from Cook. Pitched just in line for the lb. Expecting a collapse as soon as Malan goes though.
 
If Root could score 100s like he scores 50s he'd be hitting Bradman levels. Let's hope he can carry it forward for once.
 
did not even bother to listen last night after the rain delay but it never rains over there ????

looked at the bbc web and 233/5 at the close with 2 late wickets and england did not use a nightwatchman says again root is a clown and does he captain this team in the right way it sounds to me like england and root just want the test cricket over and will roll over and get ready for the ODI and 20/20
 
Shit finish to the day. Root batted very well but hit that 4 ball straight to square leg - Think Root has a small issue about his head position.

Think Malan has been a breath of fresh air - Might stick some money on 270 all out

Root definitely falls over when playing certain shots. Steve Smith looks all over the place when he's batting but almost 100 times out of 100 at thpoint of impact is head is in the right place. Malan hasdone really well. He might be the number 3 after this series.
 
This England side have no mental staying power to grind out an innings. They continually play themselves in and then lose their wickets to piss poor shots. Useless.
 
What a fucking waste for the run out.

Boycott predicted 350 yesterday so its near enough.
