boycott is great to listen to and should have a say at the ECB but like brian clough in football they fear him having a say and power about england cricket but again why england can not bat anything over there waist is a puzzle and the fear of facing the quicks is there for all to see and its like rabbit in the headlights

will england change in the next 2 years nope and with the ashes in england swing will be key so nothing will change in the bowling and the old guard will still be around lets all hope for the NZ tour will be even worst and the pressure will mount and heads will have to roll starting at the top

Fcuk me we need a bowler that bowls 90+ mph Smith taking the piss. Ali needs to stop being a pussy and fcuking bowl well
 
I sometimes use my England cricket rule of thumb predictor, what ever England score the Aussies can double it :-(

hahaaha how about england naming the bowling machine in the line and up in football you can park the bus

Ali is not a spin bowler never was never will be and no amount of spin bowling coaching will help with a part time spin bowler you have to be a spin bowler as a kid the amount of work in the fingers hands and wrist as you grow makes a spin bowler your bones develop to the ball and movement needed to bowl and by the time you stop growing it becomes 2nd nature then the coaching side of spin bowling is on lines and length and working out how to get people out in games working on there weakness

how the world biggest test country does not have spin bowlers or should i say does not use spin in test cricket is a joke and the ECB should be held to account cricket is about allsorts of options in the game and not just home test cricket matches with swing bowling and part time spin bowler we are not a 2nd rate country without the money to develop youth in all the major departments like spin bowlers and fast bowlers and batters to play cricket in other countries
 
I think a International City based Super League in all 3 formats would be the way to go, 2 teams from Oz, India, England and SA with two spots for teams from other international nations (WI/SL/Pakistan/NZ). Play 2 first class matches, 3 One-Dayers and then join in the T20 competition (IPL/Big Bash/City Based T20 here) in each of the 4 main countries, and have a year long Super League where players from each country, who would be on the verge of the international sides, get experience in all conditions.
 
You mean cos it's a shorter format and we might actually win a game, whereas proper red-ball cricket shows us up as not good enough? (The shorter the format, the greater the equality between sides) There's far too much biff and bang stuff as it is, anyway.

No it will even it out if all test match series are 3 test matches but never happen make to much money for ECB
 
This will be the most embarrassing defeat of the series, we were 300 short in our first innings, and we'll be lucky to take 6 wickets in the whole test match, yet the ausies will still take all 20, and won't need to bat twice.
 
Love that Marsh gets his ton then bowled.

Have a feeling Aussies will look for a lead of 250/300 and skittle England out before close of play.
