As promised guys i have done a write up on Ashton Lane by using my own knowledge of the area and also some help from the internet.

Ashton Lane is a small cobbled back street behind Byers Road in the West End of Glasgow. Known to be a student area of the City, this area is a thriving little place a bit like Manchester's very own Shambles Square.

Ashton Lane is about a 1 minute walk from Hillhead Underground Station, which can City fans directly to Ibrox before the game. The travel time should be no more than 15 minutes for that journey.

So now, what you have all ben waiting for..................the pubs.

Beanscene

This is the first bar i'll start with. Specialises more in coffee for the people that are driving up. You have to try a warm beverage from here, the mugs are huge.

Ketchup

Ketchup is a Burger Bar, where you can get some amazing lunch. They also serve alcohol aplenty, and have 7 different bottle's of wine if your into your "vino"

The Attic

The Attic is quite a large bar overlooking Ashton Lane. As you come from Hillhead Station it is about halfway up The Lane on the right hand side, or on the picture below you can see the blacony about halfway down the picture on the left hand side. Very spacious inside, and probably one of the top 3 pubs in The Lane.

Ubiquitous Chip

Serve's some delicious grub in here but sells plenty of Alcohol too. The Chip was the first bar to move to Ashotn Lane in 1976 i believe.

Jinty McGuinty's

My 2nd favourite bar in The Lane. The staff are so friendly, and it has an Irish feel about the place. Quite compact giving it probably the best atmosphere in Ashton Lane.

Vodka Wodka

In my opinion the best bar of them all, Vodka Wodka is full of different drinks ranging from about 30 diferent flavours of Schnapps, and Cocktails to die for. Try out their Chocolate cocktail. Its a must!
