Ashton old road

I once went to a training companies HQ in Liverpool City center, to get to it, we went through the dregs of Liverpool. The worst part, even though it was scheduled for "refurbishment" was the street upon street of derelict, boarded up houses. It was truly depressing. They were Victorian terraced houses aswell. Pity.

Edge lane i think you're on about, drive through kensington.

The op is dreaming if thinks the old road is bad, sure openshaw needs a lift but morrisons has added a much needed lift to the area.
Openshaw tech has been improved no end, the big crossroads at grey mare lane is now not bad to what it used to be. I think the big White pub used to be on the corner( grey mare).
There are a lot worse

Those derelict houses are being bulldozed at the moment, the council have been trying for years to get everyone out of them so they can make the main route into the city a little nicer.

I schooled and worked there for 20 years, lovely place is over egging it but I get your drift

Yeah you got me I'm a right snob from Droylsden and the Edge lane part too!! Anyway the point I was making before " I'm more Manc than you shit started" is that for a major trunk road into the city centre I would of thought I would of attracted more investment like other parts ie Chapel St in Salford. Some serious paranoid people on here.

Yeah it would be Edge Lane and the road that runs parallel through Kensington. I worked in Kensington for a while and used to commute from Manchester. I've been to a lot a deprived areas but this is the worst for the look of it.
