Re: Ashton-under-Lyne

I'm on Platting Grove (around the corner from the Clock Shop). I did go in the Old Ball once (in-laws lived on Broadoak) - was too red for me. Probably different if there are a few blues in there.

The March Hare (Crowhill) is probably my nearest 'blue' pub. I'm just deciding where to go for the Bolton game. I will have the missus and son (14) with me as well.

Still no word from Kevin Parker (OSC Sec) though. Does anyone on here know him?

cheers

The Hare & Hounds at Hurst Cross ran an official supporters club from there in the early 90`s and Tony Coton was a regular at the time.
The lad involved in running it was called Dennis Mcdermott, I`m sure he`s at Ridge Hill wmc these days.
The Hare has definitely gone down hill since and is now ran by a family of well known Rags!!

Re: Ashton-under-Lyne

I'm A-u-L based as well, (near the Old Ball) and don't mind putting some time in to set a branch up. Raffles, if you haven't had a reply in a day or two let me know and I'll give Alan Galley (The OSC Chairman) a ring and get details from him.

Cheers
