I don't see how CL experience would be necessary.

Apparently david platt has said it tonite

It was on Al jazeera , platt said if me and mancini was still in charge joe hart would not of been there we had plans in place to replace him with Begovich.

I think a few people are underestimating the confidence a keeper can get from having a reliable, steady defnce in front of him. Without Kompany on Nastasic in front of him he'll have been nervous as fuck.

I see what you're saying, but Lescott wasn't too bad yesterday, he does need a leader to follow in defence though. He's not good enough to defend and look after his partner too.

I just think Hart doesn't defend his six yard box at all for corners. The ebst I've seen was Schmeichel and he covered the whole 18 yard area. I was hoping hart would improve and become more dominant as he got older but he hasn't improved at all in the last three years, (if anything he has regressed as a keeper).

Maybe now is the time to drop him and bring in Pantilimon, he played with a lot more confidence in pre-season and now should be given his chance.

Has anyone seen the video of Platt saying this? I watched probably 90% of the Al Jazeera show yesterday which had Keys and Gray presenting (as normal) and Clive Allen as the studio guest. Unless that comment happened/appeared in the 10% I didn't see, Platt was not on Al Jazeera yesterday.

I think Panti should be given the next game. If you are an outfield player and have a real bad game you are benched. The same should apply, Hart seems reluctant to come off his line for crosses. Corners have become for me, a hold your breath time expecting a wild punch from Hart. He has suffered a loss of confidence and is unfortunately a hindrance to the team at the moment. He is a great shot stopper but quite hopeless dealing with crosses, other teams are going to take advantage of this.Pantilimon is better with crosses and can get down quickly give him a chance.

He wasn't the co-commentator for the game. He didn't feature at all - from what I saw.
