Sunderland, Newcastle, Hull and Man Untd (x2). We are getting no protection from Refs. This is not a Wenger moan about tough and physical sides. Put together all these incidents with no red card. We have been lucky not to have players with serious injuries. Teams seem to realise they have now got free licence to hack us down with impunity. Why are we not getting theses decisions?
City should take these to the FA and ask for an explanation. Fire a warning shot across their bows. At least it might make refs in our reaming games consider their options more closely.
Am I being paranoid? Do the rest of teams at the top suffer similar decisions?

Spot on mate.

Wellshit and Fail! should have both seen straight reds last night.

Agree with that 100% When Souness wonders what you have to do to get sent off it shows how poor the decisions are.

plus Fernandhino gets booked for a 'cynical' foul', minutes later Rughead is let off. Not part of the thread but had to say it.

Tbh I've seen the wellshit one again, there was no intent looks like he slipped, but the toilet brush was deliberate as hell, should be having charges brought, never mind a red and the fat scouse git should have seen red for the scissor tackle.

Re: Assault, leg breakers and elbows.

I actually think there's not enough biff in the game, the game is soft as fuck. But we have had a few bad challenges go unpunished against us. There's a difference between more tough play and bad challenges.

I don't want protection. That's another example of the game being soft, calling for that. Our players don't need protecting. I just want the correct decisions to be made.

It's been like this all season and yet our players are getting yellow cards every single time they breath near someone. It's an absolute joke but because Newcastle had that goal ruled out for offside then we deserve every bad decision we've had!

I think our decisions have evened out over this season got a couple of lucky decisions v Arsenal and Liverpool as well as Newcastle
I would be very much disagreeing with myself if one of these shit challenges had resulted in a serious injury though but teams like us have to put up with being kicked in the air and refs not giving same punishment as they would if it was a different team

Re: Assault, leg breakers and elbows.

The elbow yesterday was a joke. Slow motion and deliberate. Had it been the other way around, we know what the decision would have been

Re: Assault, leg breakers and elbows.

The FA need to look at Michael Oliver's performance last night. His poor game didn't influence the result - but it could have. Oliver's performances at Old Trafford are generally shocking (two with Fulham - one where he missed a stonewaller and a red card the other where he gave the softest penalty ever seen) - but he's not the only ref to have that problem. Mike Riley and Howard Webb both had / have that problem.
