Assault, leg breakers and elbows.

Sunderland, Newcastle, Hull and Man Untd (x2). We are getting no protection from Refs. This is not a Wenger moan about tough and physical sides. Put together all these incidents with no red card. We have been lucky not to have players with serious injuries. Teams seem to realise they have now got free licence to hack us down with impunity. Why are we not getting theses decisions?
City should take these to the FA and ask for an explanation. Fire a warning shot across their bows. At least it might make refs in our reaming games consider their options more closely.
Am I being paranoid? Do the rest of teams at the top suffer similar decisions?

Image the attention in the media if a City player was the offender

Re: Assault, leg breakers and elbows.

The referee was a disgrace last night. welbeck and fellaini both given yellows for red card offences, fellaini had already comitted a yellow card offence but no yellow was given, both players committed at least a couple of more fouls each after their yellows. rooney got nothing for a challenge exactly the same as one that Fernandinho got a yellow for and Vinnie was booked on his first foul. If he isn't dropped for giving a yellow to fellaini when about 5 yards away then there is something very wrong. If Mike Dean had been reffing I honestly think they'd have been down to 9 men and lost about 8-0.

Spot on mate.

Wellshit and Fail! should have both seen straight reds last night.

If Øliver had been any nearer to Fellaini he could have touched him. Shocking foul and not just one of those jumping elbows but a clear forearm smash. Roll on the day we adopt the rugby refs' approach - yellow card and then he looks again at the replay and pulls out a red.

Re: Assault, leg breakers and elbows.

In fairness it's obvious Welbeck tripped into that foul, so to me it was nasty but accidental.

The Fellaini one was a joke.

Re: Assault, leg breakers and elbows.

Come on be fair, the rags are THAT BAD !!!! they have to be given at least some chance.
Can't remember when these fuckers played with anything less than 12 men, and
they're still getting beat.

Re: Assault, leg breakers and elbows.

What makes me proud as punch today is not only did we beat them easily and could of had 5 or 6 but the fact that our players and club officials have dignity. I don't want to see our players surround the ref - like Rooney does - Christ he seems to think he's the referee at times (half time constantly in the ref's ear, questioning EVERY decision) It would have been easy for the team to lose their heads given the vile tactics of Fellani and co last night but instead we just beat them by fantastic football. Silva never moans or stays down trying to get someone in trouble same for Zabba who would have been excused in trying to get revenge. Manuel has to take a lot of credit as he too acts in the correct way. There has never been a better time to be a blue and sooner or later the media will catch on to the fact that our club and ownership do things the right way.

Re: Assault, leg breakers and elbows.

I have no issues with the bookings we got. Those decisions were correct.

However, Brush head should have received a red card, especially as the ref was 5 yards away. In my opinion Welshite should have got one for a reckless tackle but I can maybe see why the ref gave the benefit of any doubt on that one and Rooney should clearly have been booked.

I actually think there's not enough biff in the game.

Perhaps you should start watching the women's league?

Re: Assault, leg breakers and elbows.

Fellaini's was an obvious red. How Michael never gave this only he could answer.

Wellbeck's tackle for me was a yellow. However, he later blocked somebody off just as Kompany had for his yellow and should therefore be given a 2nd yellow.
