Aston Villa (A) | PL | Post-Match Thread

Yep you could see it a mile off. Fucking blatant. That’s why we need a timekeeper like in rugby, this absolute nonsense whereby the referee can decide how much to add on is wank. Cut the playing time to an hour or even eighty minutes, but the clock only runs when the ball is in play. Villa started with the time wasting straight from the off and got worse as the game progressed.

I can’t be doing with Cancelo when he’s at it but that keeper shit when he was doing the the sub is needed action and then just to get up and punt a 50 yard pass is bollocks, I also witnessed a new time wasting thing in the game at one of our throw in a Villa player just puts his arm up to block, the gamesmanship is getting worse.

45 minutes of that 90 was spent dicking around with the ball between Stones, Dias and the keeper

were getting slower every fucking week and our away form is shocking

any team that is prepared to go head to head and have a go will more than likely get something out of the game

Arse are looking decent play a high energy game well organised and can at least fucking defend

Foden should have been subbed
Villa tried to have a go in this match ?

It really is bizarre how people overreact to dropped points though.

Listen I know you like pointing out the negatives, that's completely fine but don't put ridiculous posts and not expect someone to pull you and say hang on a minute.
We're unbeaten.
Nope? You not interested in that.
Erling on 10 goals already?
No? That doesn't excite you?

The new breed of City fan fuckin get on my nerves.
I am for sure excited for Erling and the performance of the team in overall, but every one is talking about it so, why should I? I am not going to add anything to it. I am happy and enjoying the performance of the team so far, but not happy that from one shot we in most of the cases concede a goal. I have been a member in this forum since 2008, and normally do not share my point of view, but I am fed up with a goalkeeper performance. Sorry if your think it is ridiculous.

Bad day at the office. Time to sit down at the drawing board and start again.
We are City we will rise and fight again.

If that makes me a happy clappy so be it. I’m not prepared to give up on or completely castigate a team who played the way they did on Wednesday. Maybe this was a come down after the euphoria of that. It happens. We deal with it and THE BEST TEAM IN THE LAND AND ALL THE WORLD will rise again and fight another day. JMHO. :-)
I certainly don’t think we need to go back to the drawing board EB. We’ve got a point away from home whilst not being 100%. That’ll be fine this season where 85-88 points will be enough. We’re in a bit of a transition and will still piss the league.

After the Lord Mayor's show. Too slow, too many poor decisions and too many players off the pace. Two points dropped against a poor Villa side we should be beating. They rode their luck a bit but we were lethargic for a lot of the game. Pep should have brought on Alvarez instead of Mahrez. Foden ( who was awful) or Kev could have moved right. He brought Bernardo off as we were winning 1-0 and he was getting kicked to fuck. Pep just said Walker was injured

Souness is right on TV it's small margins, we could have won on another day 3-1 even though we weren't at our fluent best. For me we have to get Alvarez involved in most games, he's another who can score out of nothing and his pace troubles teams.

Fair enough. Does the one on one save tonight not count?

It would have done if we hadn’t conceded afterwards.
No your right he is brave as a lion, he will throw himself at the feet of players all the time. Again you are not wrong about him not being at fault for any of the goals last season it's just that he hasn't made any world class saves for a long time.
