3 defenders in our midfield tonight. We need midfielders in the middle. Never going to win with our skilful ball players wide out on the wing and defenders in the midfield.

Need to sort out the 8 & 10 roles as we are too weak in midfiled and short of ggoal when. haaland isn/ fed.

kovacic and nunes are not showing any promise yet and alvarez/lewis get pushed off the ball too easily at times.

the subs made us worse but at least he used some for once

We’ve been blessed with some creative players in the middle of the park over the last decade. Silva, Toure, De Bruyne, Gundogan. We haven’t got anything like that anymore to add a bit of craft in the midfield. It’s a bit of a task to find any players of that calibre, you have to wonder how long they spent chasing Bellingham before panicking to what we have now.

No that's what I find quite surprising, you could lie a double decker bus on its side between where our player was and where the defender was. It was a poor performance all round and we didn't look we knew how to change our situation.

You often get it with one player habitually going early, but tonight they were all at it.

Our recruitment has been shite and one look at the bench in most games tells you all you need to know. Lightweight isn't the word.

Great performance from Villa. Congratulations you were very good and took us to the cleaners. Best team won.. Rico looked off pace men against boys in there. Foden not so good either. The two new boys when they came on didnt bring anything to the table. Was hoping especially with Phil to really step up while Kev is on the sidelines.I saw Bernardo looking around in a break in play looking a bit lost with his teammates.think he might be missing a Kev and Gundo. He’s a massive loss for us is Gundo. We move on from this and The genius in Pep will learn from this and will stamp his authority on this team and drag us into better places for sure.

He should have been playing central, I’m fucking sick of Pep playing him out wide to compensate Alvarez playing central, It’s a fucking joke.
