Aston Villa (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Are we trying to get relegated before the PL does when the court judge us guilty of 115 charges or what?

Seriously the lack of confidence, physicality, probably workrate and the knowledge to deal with a dip in results is close to staggering.

Only positive is we lost at Villa the same way we did last season.

So did we at half time say let’s stop going down the left as grealish who was our only player was playing to well…. Genuinely begs belief… midfield again so easy to play against we make some average players look world class as we are so shit… not gundogan fault but he should be a cup player and not full time…. Lack of investment and small squad now hurting us… which makes me laugh as apparently we’ve always had a massive squad when we were winning… can’t see it ending anytime soon problem is if we don’t get top 4 players won’t come it’s a a downward spiral and I think some of these players are thinking it’s not theee problem as they won’t be around much longer! Attitude is poor and we have the best striker in the world with no service who is running around like a headless chicken to try and get the ball overall we are laughable and embarrassing at the minute

Over the holiday period I am going to go back and watch all these losses the last 2 months.

I want to take it all in. This will make me better appreciate how great the last 15 years have been.

No need to complain. There are players I don't like and think shouldn't be here but that's neither here nor there.

It's been a great run. I expect we'll take this year off. And then we can see what comes next.
Ok but put 116 123 on speed dial first!

Sadly predictable.

Grealish and Silva out wide slow the game down and create nothing. Midfield was shocking - Kova was awful today, and Gundo completely anonymous. How can persisting with these selections/combinations make sense?

Madness.

Aggression stems from the manager. A coach/manager is there to pump up their players. If they’re finding themselves backing out of tackles then it stems from one man.

Plus the fact he’s comfortable playing the same shit every week.
You seriously think Pep doesn't show his passion to win to the players? If they won't do what he is trying to do and aren't good enough, that is NOT Pep's fault. It's on the players.

They need to take responsibility for their actions, or more appropriately of late, lack of actions.

I saw poor passing, walking around, lack of tracking back, losing the ball without any urgency to get it back etc.

I think you're letting the players off extremely lightly here.
