Started as an injury crisis, then a confidence crisis, now it’s a passion and leadership crisis. We have no one on the pitch leading us. Everton at home maybe our biggest game in a long time. For those who want Pep to walk or be sacked, answer this please: what will that actually solve? Does anyone think this squad is capable of going again, if only we had a different manager?

We clearly need to rebuild. So instead of just saying he needs to go, tell us who you want instead. And let's measure them up against the best to ever do it.

He's not absolved from blame. At all. But he signed a new deal when everyone was waiting for him to go. He wants to rebuild again. He's earned the right.

By the way, we performed worse at Villa Park last season than we did today. So I'm not exactly surprised by the performance or the result.

The problem is that these current tactics are not working. For nearly two months we’ve been in relegation form with the worst defence in Europe. We look weak, slow and completely devoid of ideas.

When given the tools he needs, there’s no doubt that Pep is the best in the world. But he currently hasn’t got those tools at his disposal and is looking out of his depth.

Pep has covered Txiki’s arse big time during parts of the last 9 years. He’s won titles with no recognised LB or without a main striker due to poor squad planning. It’s now time for Txiki to do the same for Pep and give him whatever he wants in January.
