As I said in the title winning thread we're 12 months behind.

I’m surprised I’m surprised - mediocre buys in the summer + mediocre players + mediocre coaching and selections gives you, if my maths is right, a team playing mediocre football.

Savinho created pretty much everything we threw at them whilst he was on he was also very unlucky not to score ffs. Bobb was much worse.

People can blame the starting 11 (and they are right) but the bigger picture is the question of attacking quality with the exception of Haaland.

Sav was poor again, Bobb even worse - how he got into the starting 11 I just dont know as he aint there on performances so far this season.

Doku was better than the other two but baring halland we have no goal threat.

The bigger issue at present is Reijnders who is offering absolutely nothing in any department in too many games....no goal threat (how many times is he going to hit it over the bar?) and he is defensively weak and has been from the very start

Then there is the DM issue - its bad luck to have both your number 's out but when you consider the club knew Rdori would struggle to come back after such an injury and that they then only had Nico G ...to not compensate for that is bad planning.

The fullback area is still weak. Nunes has improved but is also very gettable at, Gvardiol is better at centre half and Nico OReilly s done a decent job BUT we need proper fulbacks who can at least defend and potentially add something going forward

The biggest issue however is creativity.....its all on Foden and no one else is contributing at all...Foden tried today with a number of high risk balls but no one else tries...and can anyone in our team actually provide a decent cross?

Cherki was about 5 yards beside him alone as well, if he looked up he could have had an easy dink to him but normally you'd loft those for haaland. Foden legitimately looked like an amateur on multiple occasions today

Performances like that from Foden just make me think he will never be that player.

In fairness we don’t shoot or pass into the box so it’s not really likely is it? We’re a tough watch at the minute.
No fullbacks, no DM, no wingers who can go past a defender and cross or shoot, only one goalscorer, and terrible build up play.

I'd move all the wingers, Savio Doku and Bobb on, would any make our squad a few years ago shame about Bobb so unfortunate maybe keep around for another year or so.

I've said numerous times Reijnders has offered nothing since his performance at Wolves away.

Doku and Savinho...What's the point, Genuinely what's the fucking point of those two.

It’s infuriating how we never pull anything out of the hat.

We never play shite and steal a result.

That was so bad today. But you knew we weren’t scoring from about the 10th minute.

We’ve dug ourselves into a massive hole with this squad. It’s set us back years.

Disappointing. Too many 1 good game every 2 months players in that side, nowhere near the level of consistency we need to be challenging again for the title.
Foden looks like a nothing player if he hasn't got the hard men doing the hard work for him.
Savinho - giving him a new 6 year contract is an astonishing mistake of near biblical proportions and does not inspire confidence in the guys making the player/financial decisions.
Reijnders is nowhere near good enough, pretty slow as well and doesn't seem to have the stamina/strength?
They defended really well but we couldn't get a shot past the 1st defender all afternoon.
6 minutes of injury time for their time-wasting and diving was a farce too.

I usually don't really like it when people say "That's on Pep" because it kinda absolves the players from performing, but errrrrrrrrr, that was on Pep.

Shite team from the get go. Savinho ... why ? Ever ? Should have been shipped off to the Spuds for any bid over a fiver. No Doku ? Are you fucking serious ? Bobb ... I'm yet to understand how or why he makes it into the first team as a game starter.

Reijnders ? Dunno what to say except that he looks like yet another huge pile wasted load of money.

We could play until morning and still wouldn’t score. Absolutely dreadful performance. Savio and Bobb on the wings are a disaster, and Foden in midfield is just not it cause the guy simply can’t pass properly. Reijnders isn’t that type of passer either, so we literally have no real playmaker in this team like KDB, David Silva or Gundo used to be. No creativity, no proper passing. The subs were awful too, Guardiola completely bottled it. Shocking all around performance.

It’s what you get when due to awful transfer activity over the years you fill your team with players with no end product or goals and just prying Haaland scores.

18 shots and 4 on target. Not surprising by the least threatening set of wide players in the PL, zero goal threat from midfield and sacked the worst set piece coach in England and employed what seems his twin.

We are a million miles away from being a top side until Pep goes but he deserves to call that decision himself. Football now is pace, power,direct and set pieces. We are slow, weak, side and back passing and total incompetent at set pieces.

Our best Cb playing LB, a midfielder playing RB, the weakest, slowest and smallest midfield you could possibly find, joke wingers who are championship level at best and Foden a long long way off his player of the season form and when Haaland doesn’t take his chances, we have no one else stepping up, we don’t even have another striker option off the bench

Ive said this for 18 months now but when you assemble a team full of non scorers how can you possibly challenge for a title? Club needs to be ruthless and get rid of Bobb, Saviniho, Doku and Nunes. Buy 2 productive wingers and a right back. The manager needs to sweeten himself too.

Whoever pulled the plug on savios move to spurs needs sacking

He is the worst. Been calling it for months now. He wasn't even good against Villareal, his assist was to the smallest person on the pitch, says more about Villareal. Absolutely fuming what a shit game. Like you said who ever didn't accept 70m for him needs the boot.
