Aston Villa (A) - Post-Match Thread

Going by Pep interview on Amazon Prime. He was asked the question about those players, His reply was "I don't know, The doctor came to me and told me these players cannot travel". He was asked if it was injuries, His reply was "I don't know".
so you're just reaching?

Just had a look on Villa Talk to see what Villa fans thought of the game

LOL... What a pathetic bunch of bitter, deluded, toxic, insecure weirdo's

Almost dipper like... the only difference being those scouse freaks have a modicum of current success... and a lot of recent (ok in the last 40 years) success to back up their bullishness. Most of Villas triumphs were witnessed by Queen Victoria and the one notable triumph they've had in the last half century was a one-off, never to be repeated victory that happened in a half empty stadium and which 75% of their odd fanbase sing about incessantly despite the fact they were still in their dads ballbags
Agree with all you say about their deluded fans. They did have a seriously good team in 82 - all their better players peaking at the same time. As for Gerrard - thought Villa deserved something from the game. On what basis - outclassed in all departments for 90 minutes ? No doubt he was quoting from his book of managerial cliches from the 70s.

He had a banner in the North Stand which quoted him saying My club , My City , My Home , some fans thought he would stay being club captain and coming through the academy etc but it turned out not to be the case. If I remember Raheem Sterling gets stick on returning to Anfield they should take it as a compliment if they were crap players no one would care.
lol are you shitting it? sterling was an insignificant player in the grand scheme of liverpool's success. but Grealish gave life to you dying club. are you comparing the success of liverpool or city to a villa who nobody knows when they were last successful? we had 10's of talented player's like Grealish in our recent history you just had one, saving you from utter failure. you should try to be greatful for that.

You think he should have stayed because he came through the academy?
It’s a once in a career dream move for him playing for this manager in this team.
Only an idiot would have stayed.
He’s played well for us but there is room for improvement, what I really like about him is he never hides, always wants the ball, I’d be amazed if he ends up as a squad player like you seem to think.

Gerrard counts wins not based on goals but on the only thing that matters and was central to his liverpool team and manager, "passion". so no wonder he feels they deserved something form the game.

Good performance, battled hard when we needed to and got over the line with some major absences in the team. If I'm being picky, even though it was a tidy finish, I'd really like to see City get back to the habit of keeping clean sheets. As much as it's nice to know that we don't always need a two goal lead, to see a game out all the time, as we used to. I don't want to see the back line loose that pride they have in keeping a clean sheet, celebrating blocked shots, goal saving tackles etc. That energy Dias brought to the team when he arrived.

For years I resisted the “corruption conspiracy agenda” and blamed incompetence and cowardice, but the last straw for me was Tierney and Milner. I now believe in one way, shape or form we are subject to specifically different refereeing that is not in our favo(u)r. Today Jesus was fouled twice in one move in the box and the replay made it obvious. Plenty of other examples from today as well. To paraphrase Ian Fleming writing about James Bond when he was playing golf against Goldfinger, we will just have to beat them, cheating and all.
It is a crushing blow ...when the penny drops.
