Aston Villa (A) - Post-Match Thread

Apart from the little known 82 european cup win that they don't like talking about... I don't think there's a single criteria you could base this on where they beat us
They think they are, so that's probably enough for them.

Was fearful after the 1st half we would get a 4 or

As Villa fans are we supposed to be happy about losing our best players to city all the time ? ie Barry , Milner, Delph , Grealish ? How are we supposed to build a team to compete if this keeps happening? City didn’t need Grealish .It’s easy for city fans to applaud ex players as when you move players on you are bringing in world class players to replace. UTV
Remind me again, what world class player did we replace Shaun Wright-Phillips with?

I don’t know why you would not acknowledge Raz’s world class dribble and pass that was equally as good as Dias’s goal.
I agree that was great piece of skill from Raz, although I’m not convinced he was trying to find Diaz. Glad to see he improved his game last night. He seemed to relish that little battle with Cash who I think is a quality full back.

There was a Villa fan on one of the social media platforms claiming they're a bigger club than City, Chelsea and Spurs

Not one for getting into the my club is bigger than yours nonsense... but I'd love to know on what basis he came to that conclusion
Bigger ground, more trophies and earlier in the alphabet.
Well bigger ground than Chelsea (I think but CBA checking), more major trophies than Spurs, and earlier in the alphabet than City. Oh, and more seasons out of the top two divisions than City. Simples.

Having smaller average crowds as well. Was even lower than ours when they won the league and European Cup), which apparently they won, who knew!?

they played 5 ties to win their european cup..they beat the mighty valur(?) bfc berlin (?) dynamo kiev and anderlecht along the way..got totally outplayed by bayern in the final but fluked a win..anderlecht away their fans started rioting in the stands but the club blamed someone else. remind you of anyone?..if steven hawking had a gormless brummie accent on his voicebox thingy then no one would have believed a word he said.
horrible club

Bayern have a habit of outplaying English teams in finals but losing.
