Without at least one of Bernardo or Foden in the side the engine room is left ponderous, one-paced and passive. Especially when the front three play so badly that nothing sticks up there and the ball is coming straight back at them every time.
That set up yesterday was the same one that failed miserably and was ultimately discarded earlier in the season. Bizarre to see it make an unwelcome comeback yesterday

I would hope he’s learnt a far bigger lesson (2 lessons to be specific) than that....not withstanding your point is spot on

This is not the 2017 or 2018 season where we were virtually untouchable save for a few losses like losing to Wigan in another FA cup upset or those 2 unfortunate CL exits. We really should have won at least 1 CL that 2 seasons preferably the one that Liverpool won. I trust that this team has enough quality to win the league still sitting 11 points up. Villa is not a must win game FYI. We can still lose Villa and still have a good lead for the final push for the title. I don't like the CL personally but that is the target this year and for a long time and it's high time for the club to finally bring that trophy home. Even us winning the PL won't cover that disappointment. CL or no CL win though if the unthinkable happens and United manages to pip us to the title at this stage then Pep will have to go. That's not something I'm even remotely worried about.

That's very easy to say - sometimes the goals dont come whoever you play. We don't have a god given right to roll over everyone. If we had started the Dortmund XI yesterday and 2 or 3 players pulled up injured or were out on their feet after the first half, the merry moaners would have been out in force saying Pep should have rotated. And that's pretty much what happened to KDB
