Anyone who's thinking of a comfortable win is in for a shock. Gerrard has Villa playing out of their skin now and they'll be up for this game no doubt. We might even lose this game as things stand.

Man for man, we are different level to them in every single position. Yes, there's the new manager phenomenon, and suddenly they've got a lift and are a bit giddy. And yes, there's the hatred around Grealish and the desire to put one over on us.
We need to play our possession game and pass the ball round their press for the first fifteen minutes or so. Just to deflate that bubble.
Pep, too, knows how to get players playing out of their skin. Everybody turns up, and plays seriously and with application, and if there's our best combination at the back (Stones/Dias), we should be winning this 2-0. West Ham are a far better team, and but for some Alamo defending and a worldie out of nowhere at the very end, that should have been 4-0.
