I share this concern as our passing speed and accuracy will be hampered by a sodden surface. Can any of you Blues get feedback from a member of the ground staff?
Rain hasn't been bad really today. Main band looks to be to the north of Manchester so we'll avoid the worst. The pitch can handle rain just fine. It's only when it rains heavily during the game you'll get issues as it will cut up

Three days??? They’ve had 20 days since the first team actually kicked a ball ...

First half they’d be fresh and up for it ... second half they’d get tired quickly and lack of match fitness would/should show ...

We might have to be patient in this one and not get flustered or frustrated early on ...

He can say what he wants, City are match fit they aren’t.

If we put 2 or 3 past them he’ll come out with the usual crap of “gifting City there goals”. Like that dickhead Woy Hodgeson said the other night.

It's difficult to tell who was infected and how much their first team trained during the period so whilst we may ponder this, I doubt we'll derive anything useful

Think he means 3 days training

Thanks for that Wolfie. The current forecast is for heavy rain between 6pm and 8pm on matchday.

Their training facilities have been shut. These will have been rested, but have been sitting around self isolating for a large part of that time.

absolutely love these detailed pre-match threads to look forward to the next game. thank you for putting in the effort.

city going top after this one!!!
Seconded. Thanks for these great posts mag.
Very much appreciated.

Finally I don't have to scour the web for KO time to work out what ungodly hour I have to get up :)

Should be a better game than many, in that Villa do try and play a bit of football. Never take anything for granted but as always looking forward to it. You won’t find me a grumbling **** in the match day thread

Wouldn’t worry we are used to a bit of rain in Manchester and the pitch drains well.

Aguero still not available (along with Laporte). How many PL games will we realistically get out of Kun this season? 10-15? He'll almost certainly pick up another injury between his return and the end of the season.
