Emery's record in big games away from home has always been dreadful, hopefully it continues tonight.

Their away record in general isn't great this season. 10th overall, even having won their past three away games.

They've lost to Spurs, Dippers, Chelsea, Forest, Newcastle, Wolves and Palace away this season and drawn at Ipswich and Arsenal.

Only teams in the top 10 they've beaten are Fulham and Brighton.

They weren't any better last season. The win at Arsenal that helped us win the title was probably Villa's biggest away win under Emery.

One of the hottest teams in the EPL goes on the road and loses to a motivated team at home playing with something on the line.

Am I talking about Newcastle, Aston Villa, or both?

Hopefully the latter, as not many saw the first one coming during this same game week either.

At the beginning of the season who would have thought this fixture would be crucial to making the top 5?
It's a funny old game.
There was a point during the season when it looked like we would be struggling to stay in the top half. But your right it is a funny old game.

I think we will get beat tonight won’t be the end of the world though I’d be confident in winning our last 4 if needs be

Probably our most important game of the season. They did us for pace, energy and commitment at their place. We need to have plenty of those three tonight. I'd play three at the back with Khusanov back in there for his pace. Nunes and O'Reilly can both cross a ball so I would play them as wing backs. so somehing like

We definitely need to avoid losing - it's a home game and we don't want to be down mentally after losing at home going into the semi-final at weekend.

not being funny but i take a draw tonight. still got 4 games very winnable to see us home.

lose and it gives us a big old knock ahead of the semi final and boosts up villa massively

I would be confident, but having the top 5 race taken out of our hands isn't ideal.

Aim for tonight is to not lose and not put top 5 in the hands of Villa.

I remember getting smashed 3-0 at anfield and we went on to beat United in the semi final. I get what you’re saying though but I do think we will be beat to it it go on to win our last four if we need to

I still think we will finish 3rd if we are beat tonight

I love the FA Cup and am going on Sunday BUT the two biggest tournaments are the Premier League and the Champions League. Qualifying for the Champions League is more important than winning the FA Cup.
