So between Sunday and Wednesday, the players have downed tools?? really? you honestly think that?
Shadows of themselves turned up on Wednesday. Lets see what happens on Saturday. People keep telling me ours is the best team in the league but I haven't seen any proof of that since we beat Bournemouth.

I predict Villa will have there game of the season tomorrow with the referee as per usual giving us naff all. A 2-0 win thought

Aston Villa have no new injury concerns but remain without the injured quintet of Carlos Sanchez, Jack Grealish, Libor Kozak, Adama Traore and Jordan Amavi.

Rudy Gestede is pushing for a recall after scoring as a substitute in Tuesday's defeat by Everton.

No excuses tomorrow. Villa are dead in the water & have zero confidence. If we don't put in a performance & get ourselves a comfortable win then I fear for a top 4 finish.

We need a result and a performance. We need to destroy Villa.
A lucky 1 nil win may give us 3 points but will hardly make other teams worry.
The players and fans need a boost
I disagree, we keep having good performances & moments where you think "ah this should give us a boost". E.g. recently we just won the League Cup & had a great performance away at Kiev - few days later we get hammered by a Liverpool reserve team.

Teams won't fear us this season, we consistently fail (spectacularly usually) to beat anyone in the top half, beating Villa 5-0 doesn't change that. We just need the points, we're not suddenly going to turn a corner this late into the season & go on a 10 match winning run - we just need to scrape our way to top 4 & get it sorted next season.

A negative view perhaps, but a far more realistic one than expecting us to turn a corner if we give Villa a beating I'm afraid.
