Actually thought Lescott would be a good buy, but he's been a car crash of a signing. Players like Amavi and Gueye looked very good v United and Bournemouth.

Can't see for the life of me how they're going to manage to stay up. Devoid of any real quality.

I'd start with an 11 something like this -

Guzan
Hutton-Richards-Lescott-Richardson
Westwood-Sanchez-Gardner
N'Zogbia-Gestede-Ayew

Like Villa as a club, decent ground, great away day. Ex Blues in the team, hope after we (hopefully) beat them on Sunday they get a run together, but history is against them, clubs can only be stripped of finance and tread water for so long in the premier league & Lerner lost interest years ago which is the real problem.

Relegated 3 is going to be a tricky call this season.

Let's hope these twats don't decide to turn things around this weekend. It truly would be a proper old school 'typical city' moment if we go from turning Seville over to losing against these.

Early days but I'd like the fuckers to go down. And plummet more. I'm humanitarian in that respect. Let the entitled fuckers enjoy the championship then persevere and then suffer some more. astonvillalearnhumilityhashtag. Same goes for evertonesquire.

I wonder how Delph feels playing in the Champions league whilst Villa sit rock bottom in the league?
