It's the least accurate, they both had a buyout clause so Villa/Lerner don't have choice......before anyone says 'Arsenals bid for Saurez'..if that had gone to court,dippers would have lost.

Hmm,

Cleverly - end of a loan. Offered a contract by a better club.
Delph - activated a release clause.
Benteke - activated a release clause.
Vlaar - end of contract. Wouldn't sign a new deal.

I don't think he can be accused of asset stripping. The worst you can accuse him of is not doing enough to keep Vlaar and Cleverly, but let's face it, who's going to stay at relegation threatened Villa, when they can move to Everton and have a go at getting into Europe?
