Benteke is out for 6-8 weeks so a bit of good new there.

Gabby Agbonlahor also carrying a knock and may not make the weekend, Weimann was rested last night as he's the only experienced forward they have fit, the other two Lozak and Helenius are well off the pace.

Expect Rodwell to start this with Fernandinho rested for Bayern.

I'd suggest whichever combination of full backs he wants to use against Bayern also won't play at Villa, similarly strikers and Milner/Navas.

I'd have thought Nasri will play both though.

Any blues know where I can watch the villa game in town on sat have to meet some friends so cannot watch at usual venue.Cheers

Really need to win this one. They will probably have same tactics as Stoke, therefore we will need to change something in our game. We will have to play more direct but in same time close their contra-attacks in timelly manner.

From an ESPNFC story today:

"Lambert expects several of the players left out against Spurs, including Gabby Agbonlahor, to have recovered in time for the weekend, although he insisted they all had genuine injuries."

I think he'll play.

Agbonlahor may have too, but he won't be 100%

I am interested to see if we can keep this level up, especially away from home it was a tough game there last season if I remember right. Win this with style and this place will explode with joy

We are playing very well and I think this form will go into Saturday.. Cant see owt but a city win.
