Asylum Seekers Merseyside

Go and join the EDL or something then rather than spouting shit on here

Why when all he has done is discuss a case in which a murderer was jailed for 29 years after previously murdering someone in Serbia.

I see you also called him a racist?

Really? Is that all you have got to offer to the debate?

Does this case not horrify you or make you ask questions as to what this person was doing here despite his previous criminal convictions?

Referring to the British perpetrators of the Rotheram scandal as Pakistani taxi-drivers and takeaway shop owners and linking it to asylum seekers might not be enough to cross the line into racism, but it's sure as hell raising a lot of red flags.

Yep. Deliberately so.

i) I have Amazon Prime and I can multi-task.

ii) I'm a bit fed up of being called an 'idiot/moron/facist right-winger' etc. and I thought it would be interesting to try to put the alternative view forward, during an important match, out of curiosity.

So far two people have 'liked' the so-called 'hate-filled' article I posted, whilst no members have 'up-ticked' your response.

I acknowledge that this is hardly a 52%/48% statistical analysis of the situation, but bearing in mind the political bias I usually find on the BM forums, I feel slightly positive tonight that I am maybe not a lone voice in the wilderness, when it comes to stating the bleeding obvious.

P.S. I am not having a go at you (MrK), by-the-way, I am having a go at the government, who try to sound 'hate-filled' to get votes, yet by their actions prove to be a bunch of liberal-democrats underneath. They may appoint Lee Anderson (in desperation) to be deputy chairman & who says stuff like: "....send the boats back to France the day they come or fly planes to Rwanda", but they won't actually do it. So ultimately, although I maybe shouting my mouth off tonight, I know deep down that in about a year, your lot will be running the show - not because of how brilliant Labour are, but because of the how crap my lot have been. The Tories in 2019 said: ".....we will take control of our borders, our laws & our money"

and they lied.

I'm not going to engage with you any further because I don't want to punch down. You have admitted you have a problem in the PM you sent me the other day. And in my mind a lot of your views are connected to despair and a place of ill health.

Go and work on that, and get the help and support you need.

Ranting about transgender, sexuality and racial politics in a thoroughly negative and hateful way is counterproductive to you working through your own issues.

I just get angry when I read about stuff like this:

"A man from Afghanistan who sought asylum in the UK and was previously convicted of murder in Serbia has been sentenced to life imprisonment for killing a young man in Dorset in an argument outside a takeaway shop.

Lawangeen Abdulrahimzai, who was handed a minimum term of 29 years, was a fugitive from murder charges in Serbia when he arrived in the UK, but his violent past went undetected.

Abdulrahimzai managed to dupe officials into believing he was 14 - up to six years younger than his actual age and, according to reports, police were warned seven times that he had been carrying a knife before he went on to stab 21-year-old Thomas Roberts in Bournemouth in March last year.

The killer was also put in foster care on his arrival in the UK despite being convicted in his absence of murdering two people with a Kalashnikov assault rifle in Serbia.

Roberts, said to be an aspiring Royal Marine, was acting as a “peacemaker” during a confrontation outside a Subway takeaway between his friend and Abdulrahimzai when he was stabbed, the jury at Salisbury crown court heard."

I should not be lambasted with that word, because of how I feel when I read stuff like this or the horror stories of 1,400 girls being raped, trafficked, even murdered, in Rotherham, largely by Pakistani taxi-drivers and kebab-shop-owners. Plus the tens of thousands of girls that have been similarly abused in towns and cities across the UK.
What you have done here is exactly what the far right want you to do.

You have taken a perfectly reasonable case with which to be upset with the UK asylum process, which is perfectly normal and then conflated it with something totally different and come up with in my opinion the conclusion all foreigners bad, asylum does not work and should be stopped. The exact stance of white ethno-Nationalist's.

The facts though proffered by the Office of Children's Commissioner are as follows

It found that 36% of perpetrators of gang or group related sexual violence were white, 27% were asian, and 16% were of an undisclosed ethnicity. The majority of child victims of gang or group related sexual violence (60%) were recorded as "white", with unknown making up the second largest category at 14%. Considering the amount of Child abusers found in the ranks of the Far Right this is no surprise.

Once again though you have fallen into the Far Right propaganda trap that they are largely Asian.

The fact remains though that there are issues that need resolving, the Asylum process is a mess and the Government should sort it out, there is also a problem with Child grooming, but blaming it solely on one ethnic group means others are free to groom and I do not think this is controversial, we all want an end to all child grooming.

Please remember that the recent defector from the Conservative party spoke of their desire to stoke culture wars to enhance their election chances. These politics of hatred do not solve our problems; they do not build communities or enhance the life chances of the needy. They are designed to draw your eyes away from the failings of our government and to blame those small numbers arriving on our shores, many of whom are utterly desperate. In all communities, there will be people who have committed atrocious acts, but the act of one, however heinous, is not the actions of a whole community.

The main issue is the cost to the public purse, and even before numbers were shooting up recently, this was still a massive issue.

Around a decade ago the Government, more specifically the Home Office, contracted out housing and support to the lowest bidders, so you go the likes of outsourcing companies like Serco and G4S, doing it as cheap as possible, and therefore sourcing the worst properties in the worst areas. A HMO getting a monthly visit without the provider really knowing for sure who is there sometimes. As GM has very high numbers of asylum seekers this has impacted to homelessness and temporary accommodation as settled residents have competition for stock within the Local Housing Allowance rates, which haven't kept up anywhere near rents, and under 10% of new lets will be affordable.

When after years an asylum seeker gets a positive decision i.e. they get leave to remain and become a refugee, then are then made homeless in under a month with no reasonable prospect of finding accommodation in that time, and are dumped on the local housing authority through the homelessness route in a major Home Office cost shunt.

When new properties are acquired for asylum seekers, particularly for HMOS, there will be complaints from residents and in turn Councillors, and they tend to be left wing due to the low value areas targeted. It is not a left/right debate, it is more one of funding and the richer parts of the country seeing very little AS dispersal.

The problem with him (and I've not heard of this case) is that he lied to immigration and immigration couldn't chase the info down, not that he's an asylum seeker.
Anyone coming into the country could lie and have a dodgy background, however they came here.

From the piece, the Home Office seem to have accepted that they missed red flags about him - why would be the question?

It seems to me that several issues are being aggregated here.

1. Paedophiles. I agree the law is too weak and inadequately imposed. Although I disapprove of the death penalty in principle (except for politicians who consciously damage the country's economy for their own gain) there is scarcely a lesser penalty I would oppose. However, I am well aware that paedophiles do not all have brown skin. Many are white, well-off, prominent citizens. Sir Cyril Smith springs to mind. As do a couple of chaps on the edge of my family tree. I need hardly recite the names, but there are dozens that are known about, including members of the so-called 'upper class'.

2. Violent criminals. Ditto, basically. People have very short memories if they think they are all imported. The Krays ring a bell? Lock 'em up and throw away the key, but don't pretend it's just one type of person.

3. Drag queens reading to children? Big deal. If the parents don't mind it's no other bugger's business.

4. Far-right fascists. These Hitler worshippers and Holocaust deniers are no better than the other terrorist groups and should be dealt with accordingly. With extreme prejudice. Again, I don't mind if you do the same to (for example) so-called Islamic nutters.
