Can we afford to rest players before the red scouse game...even if we get a poor result we would still likely qualify in first place....or is that a little arrogant?

We should go full strength and qualify and pretty much guarentee top spot in the group. The dippers have a midweek game too they do have an extra days rest but they'll probably play the same team in both games.

you could be right.....get it won and then the next few games in the champs league we could rest players as well.

I just think that we are probably one of the only teams (if not the only one) that is capable of taking points of liverpool at anfield and if we are going to win the league then we will have to do that. so to improve our chances maybe we rest players before the game...positives and negatives to it however as Pep often talks about players being in the rhytm as well.

they'll be tired too i think we will play strong team for this game with probably gundy and potentially who ever the full backs are against liverpool may not play on wednesday

Bit of a predicament for Pep.

On one hand we look like we're placing more priority on the CL this season. Same time, Dippers at Anfield is incredibly crucial in the league right now.

Put that together with all the injuries we have and we're going to have to manage this very carefully.
