Both ties were a hard watch. We offered little threat in either game. They had a few pin ball efforts that easily could have levelled it. All passing with no end product will not win us this nor much else when the midfielders are not scoring. Gundogan and Mahrez were especially awful. Benzema would create havoc in the space between Stones and Laporte.

What kind of fuckin madness was that! We won the first 3 quarters of the tie, but the 4th quarter was mostly Atleti & they fought like lions to pull it back.

BUT, we showed a different side to us tonight. We reverted to some desperate 1980s last ditched defending & route one football, but as Atleti lost their heads, we kept ours, so well done City!

Over all, on the balance of play we deserved the narrow win & Atleti's desperation tactics during the second half doesn't change that.

It was a totally professional performance from City against a cauldron of hatred on & off the pitch. We've definitely grown up in Europe, because it wasn't so long ago we'd have been the desperate ones, against a team who just managed the game to see it over the line.

How the fuck only one Atleti player got sent off is a fuckin joke! It was like playing Dave Bassett's Wimbledon Crazy Gang! Regardless, we kept our cool which wound them the fuck up! :-)

Savic & Felipé both need a fuckin battering! The pair of cutthroat shithouse hatchet men were a fuckin disgrace!

Stones was magnificent tonight & my MoTM. Gutted Cancelo won't play in the first leg against Real & hopefully KDB & Walker's injuries aren't too serious. Ice baths tonight lads & a couple of days off, ready for the FA Cup Semi vs the Dippers. :-)
