I like to think played with a low block and attacked on the counterIt’s the first time in a long time I have seen Man City lose complete control of the game, we are used to city getting beat but still being the team with most possession and still creating the chances.
No idea what happened to silva, gundo tonight but they was way off the pace.
it’s easy to say well done to city tonight for the fight but they could of easily conceded 3 or 4 goals tonight. Luckily for us A Madrid couldn’t finish.
brilliant result ofcourse and that is all what counts. But I think maybe the occasion got to the lads which is a little worrying since we got real next.
I noticed thatWith all the madness at the end, I'd forgotten that every throw in they took was a foul throw
yes I think its his ankle too he kicked up quite a lot of turf when it twisted. He looked like he went over on his left ankle I fear we could see the last of kyle this season he looked like it was a bad one, a bit shocked at first I thought he had winded himself, I think it's ligaments
Rugby is a game for thugs played by gentlemen, football by that shower would appear to be a game for gentlemen played by thugs.Very rarely get any shit like that in rugby. Refs generally respected, or at least listened to. Don’t know why dickhead footballers are allowed to give the ref so much shit.
We had 60% possessionIt’s the first time in a long time I have seen Man City lose complete control of the game, we are used to city getting beat but still being the team with most possession and still creating the chances.
Apart from that mid-air body check on Foden by Felipe (that’s a Sin Bin in rugby league, so how he wasn’t booked I’ll never know), and the one he did get booked for on de Bruyne, I thought all the darks arts were done and won by us last night!I really enjoyed the game, it was almost the exact opposite to the Liverpool game. Yes Atleti employed the dark arts, but so we did we and Ferna coming on gave us a level of shithousery to match theirs. I have no issue with the way Atleti play, if every team played the same it would be boring.
It was a tough game though and we were magnificent at what we are normally never given any credit for, that is being resolute, defending properly and keeping calm under pressure. I loved when Phil was assaulted near the end, Zincho was straight into protect him, that showed the togetherness of the squad. Stones was magnificent, special mention for Ake who shored things up superbly when called upon. The workrate of all the lads was superb, you would never see Mahrez tracking back for Leicester how he did last night for us.
I believe last night was one of our great European performances, it was mature and we showed we could compete and overcome adversity
Just hope Kyle and Kev are OK for the Semi, the other lads will be battered and bruised as well, but we have Semi's coming up and we need the character we showed last night to keep at it.
think it means, "i"m a tosser. !Can you explain what that means ?
Top day that played in my favourite kit too.He did score a decent header at Blackburn away in the November heatwave.
BT usually get a lot of stick for their coverage of us in Europe (and rightly so) but thought they were firmly in our corner all night. Also nice to see this from one of them...
Haha fucking love it!
