Atmosphere 2024/25

I would expect the club to have started serious engagement with all of our main supporters groups well before this point.

If proper discussions haven’t started, then I would expect any active group to approach the club themselves, as 1894 have here.

I am taking from the club response that they don’t want to engage, consult or listen to what fans want, which is what many have suspected for a long time now.
They only want to hear stuff they want to hear.

They don’t want criticism even if it is constructive and when we point out we can save them getting bad PR by actually listening to what fans want they ignore that too.

Because they decided what they wanted out if before the stand was being built.

And remember Soriano is going anyway in 2026 yet wants the new stand to be on his terms… yet won’t be there himself to see the final results of his car crash.

In many respects this thread annoys me. All it seems to be about is the 2 singing sections and whether they sing.
Bollocks, atmosphere is about all of us shouting encouragement, shouting in anger at the ref, applauding the team anything but sitting there in silence.
The 2 singing sections do a brilliant job but sometimes I wonder why they bother because the rest of the stadium sit in silence.
I think it's so shite that when Haaland scores that announcer does the Erliiiing..... and we respond with his last name. We shouldn't need fake encouragement, we should be climbing back over our seats having fallen 4 rows down ( I'm joking, you know what I mean)
Brilliant job ????

Why don’t you organise it then instead of waffling on and on about it

Here’s a clue: 1894 have mailed the club 3 times this season including earlier this week asking for a line of communication to again highlight what needs to happen on prices and atmosphere

The club are not interested
Who are they emailing? Is it something the OSC should be involved in or don’t they want to rock the boat in any way. What about City Matters getting involved as well.

No we haven’t we have absolutely highlighted what our members wanted highlighting plus the views of many other non members who got in touch through social media.

We don’t sit here articulating pretend views and live on button moon about what will make the club listen all of a sudden, mainly because we have years of experience and you have years of sitting on the sidelines talking a good game on bluemoon but actually doing nothing.

You are not intending to move yourself. So you are basically part of the problem. Raising expectations when the club can’t even deliver basic information on the type of person they want in there.

How many NSL2 seats will be syphoned off on packages, come with a meal/hotel/package. How many seats will go to 3rd party sites and if a someone in a singing area can’t attend that day, will that ticket be prioritised for someone else who wants to sing or will it go into Ferran’s pot, the black hole of mystery where anyone turns up
Next game, often with no connection to the club, this diluting the singing area even more.

You think we have over reached? You don’t know what our objectives are ? We didn’t ask for a blue wall, club suggested it and then invited us with others to meeting and then when we pointed out what would make that work and what wouldn’t they largely ignored it and just went off something designed to make khaldoon the net spend champion again.

If you think you can do ay better - Feel free to set up your own group then, arrange funding, get a structure, have elected leaders , do it through bluemoon, mail the club and say we have x amount of people wanting to relocate and how do we go about it. We can talk at any time.

Do let us know how you get on and what reply you get.

I think it’s very poor from the club they won’t answer your questions.

To me it seems pretty clear the “blue wall” and large safe standing area dreams can be forgotten, they would’ve come forward already.
They’ll try to spin it in the marketing materials but it will end up as… just meh.
We’ll end up with a meh NS and meh SS and the rest is shit anyway

City Matters to me seems just a tick a box exercise from the clubs side. Club can claim to interact with fans while in reality it’s just smoke and mirrors and fans don’t have any say

(thanks for your efforts Alex but it is what it is)

At least the execs will be able to put on their CV’s how they increased revenue by X %, irrespective of the damaging legacy they will leave behind.

Don’t disagree. What’s interesting is that Pep only the other week said again how great the away fans were, this time at Leicester. The common denominator with the best away days is there are fewer tourists, it’s not rocket science. Fill the new stand with them and the atmosphere will be diminished. Making tickets affordable for those local fans who have been priced out should be a priority. Maybe half the stand can be like a low budget airline, pay fuck all but in return get fuck all so no fancy food, plush seats etc.

Maybe we could introduce a shandies and umbrella drinks bar with novelty hats?

Something some fans could fully get behind.
