There were 2 or 3 lads at the front of either 215/216 going for it last night. I was looking at them to get the timing right with SSL3. They did a brilliant service!
There was a big lad who was pissed who was stood at the front of 316/315 aisle near the tunnel who was doing his best to get songs going too.

I sit smack bang in the middle of block 115 (SSL1). Last night was the first time I can remember CLEARLY hearing SSL3.

You can often hear noise coming from there, but you can't tell what they're singing (so hard to join in). Last night it was so loud. When both SSL3 and SSL1 linked up it was deafening!

Great work everyone in SSL3.
They were very loud last night. I mentioned it earlier, but I did notice a lot more people stood and joining in with the singing in the away blocks, which doesn’t usually happen.

The sheer size of the stand and being close to the roof makes such a difference. Hopefully the north stand can be similar

Was in the platt lane at maine rd in the 70s and as per usual no chanting because everybody is seated. Then just before kickoff 3 lads came down the steps(pissed) encouraging everyone to start singing. Thought to myself not going to happen. :-)

I was at both and I can tell you the noise for Colin made last night sound like a whisper!
Colin’s comeback is up there with the most memorable of games, ie top three spine tinglers of the last fifty years. He was out for a lot longer than Rodri. The sentiment was there, the volume wasn’t. Then again I was 13, Power off, Legend on. An unforgettable defining moment in mine and many lives.

I too was at the Newcastle match that Colin made his comeback, when Rodri came on on Tuesday the reception he got, whilst it might not have quite as long as that boxing day back on 77 didn't half remind me of it.

Enjoyed the Bournemouth atmosphere. The Kevin chants made everyone want to join in singing to show our appreciation. Helps that he's universally loved by the fans. Rodri on the pitch was an outpouring of spontaneous relief, and hope. It helped that we had opposition that played an open game which made it more exciting. It's harder to get something going when we play against park the bus and we have all the passes in front of a packed defence. Definitely think things are better since we got our moaning out over fan treatment and prices too.

Bit like king Colin coming on 2nd half against Newcastle when it was 0-0. Think it ended 4-0. Was the loudest I ever heard the in the kippax. Happy day.
The most amazing thing that day was to hear the whole Main Stand singing
The greatest atmosphere ever

I was away for the match sadly.

It's great to read the atmosphere was good, especially for Kev, as it was his night, and for Rodri, for his 1st comeback game.

SS3 bouncing last night with "Show me the way to Istanbul, Rodri scoring in the Champions League Final" on repeat for what seemed around 10 minutes with the majority joining in and creating a great atmosphere.

I think Bournemouth's open style of football also helped, rather than the usual teams trying to park the bus.
hahahhaha me and this other guy with curly red hair were in ssl3 in block 314 seats 560 and 559. We literally kept the chant of show me the way to istanbullllll, people in front us were jokingly laughing saying they can’t sing anymore but we kept singing and turning around to tell others to sing!!! funny thing is im from holland but know all the songs and always sing when i go!

I'm not sure which games you were at. The stadium was full post-match for Zaba's send off

As for Aguero, well only 10,000 were allowed in the stadium in the first place due to Covid restrictions and I don't recall many, if any, fucking off
No they didn’t, as we wanted to see the PL trophy being presented too.

HAHAHA that was genuinely me and this other bloke in ssl3 block 314 keeping that istanbul chant goingggg

There's a few pockets spread out throughout the stand that are worthy of credit. There's a group in I think it is towards the back of 316 that always hit the back of the stand to keep the chants going. They were in fine fettle like usual. I tried to do my bit in 318 which was far better than usual. I've decided to relocate to 314 next season to be in a more vocal block.
