I’m not sure what your point is with that post. Fact is that no-one is claiming there’s some elaborate conspiracy - just that the club are doing what they want and making decisions that are fucking over long-standing fans in favour of JCLs and tourists just so they can make an extra few quid. A classic case in point is the Real Madrid home CL semi final in 2023. Instead of staggering ticket sales to members who had attended matches in the past, they invited anyone to apply for a membership which gave them as much chance as a legacy fan of many years of getting a ticket in the ensuing online bloodbath, even if that person had never attended a single City game previously. No conspiracy, but it was a ****’s trick of the highest order.

I’m not being funny but there’s a huge whiff around some of your posts to the point that they come across as you shilling for the club.
Something very iffy about his posts !

I'm not talking about match day revenue. That has been covered in detail.

I'm talking about tickets going to away fans in the home ends when they should be going to City fans.

As for rogue employee or employees selling that quantity of home tickets constantly over a season and the club not knowing who it is and stopping it, do me a favor. That's laughable.

If that was the case, which it isn't, the club and the 'ticket compliance manager' would have been all over that by now.

Let's see what happens if City reach the knockout stages of the CL this season.
I wonder how many tickets are out with agencies for the liverpool game - the year when it looks like they will finally do it in front of a crowd will surely mean they will want to be there in their thousands? City have a duty of care to us fans but will they recognise this before or after the event? Celtic in the CL a case in point - good job it was a dead rubber

I wouldn't want to be a scouser in SS3 or anywhere in the SS for that matter.

Non City fans in the City end :

Makes it a safety risk
Causes friction between fans
Stops City fans getting tickets for the game and stops the atmosphere building
You are right the £12.25 bn tv deal means match day revenue is less important
Sell those tickets to City fans at normal prices then
I agree with your post but I don't see the relevance of the reply in the context of what I said. The point I was making is that, the original comment I responded to implied that our senior exec were caught red handed selling tickets to none city fans. My point was, that simply is bollocks, whilst some crook lower down in the firm may be up to no good, to imply that our exec are involved in it is preposterous and probably libelous

How do you know ?

If someone has a problem with what is said they can sue them.

soriano for example has shares in Tast. As does pep.

Tickets for all games now available along with a meal pacakage at tast (make your own way to the ground after a 3 course meal at tast)

For the derby the package was £560 per person other games lower

If season cards are not available when they are given up and match day returns are not being made available to the waiting list, disappearing from site almost immediately, then they are going straight to ticket sites as a matter of business planning as they are not arsed who gets the tickets

This was obvious from the 2023 community shield boycott v arsenal when instead of backing the fans’ wishes to kick off at 3pm they relaxed all criteria and anyone… anyone at all could get a ticket- and not one song came from the City end

More tickets going back to the club means more packages using vermilion tast and other restaurants- it’s a bigger mark up. The type of people who want to actually have a 3 course meal before the match and not there because they are passionate about the club.

It’s actually guaranteeing a conveyor belt of customers to visit Tast. Take away season cards , don’t release the flexi gold returns, bang them all straight into the corporate pot. If Soriano profits indirectly from this arrangement then you can bet this is what is happening. How convenient.

Same for the new north stand. Hotel that end and so ticket will be guaranteed if you have a meal and have a hotel stay at same time.

Yet some people on here just want people to move regardless without any guarantee to protect the interests of City fans.

Club already confirmed a couple of years ago they use a minimum of 7 sites for home games although they wouldn’t say how many goes to each site.

That’s their business plan. Company policy. They’ve used sportsworld too for away packages.

Allegedly Bundles of tickets going to catalan agencies

Barcelona shirts galore in our end at Anfield

Allegedly up to 600 tickets at a time going to companies for champions league home games

why are you so trusting of the club ?
Unless you work for them yourself ?

Citymatters members have asked them over and over before to cone clean on the arrangements. They refuse. If there’s nothing to hide, come clean. Be upfront.

The senior execs are giving tickets to who they want. It’s clearly part of their business plan.

I don’t think there’s anything conspiratorial about it. The club are quite open they have “official partners” which is obviously corporate policy. If we (me and family) ever list on the exchange more often than not they never appear for sale (I know cos I check) and the people sitting there have purchasd at vastly inflated prices (£2-300 depending on the game) from agencies. I know cos I ask them. Thus, it’s unlikely to be a rogue city fan snapping them up and selling on.
As far as I’m aware no one at the club has actually denied they do this? Just part of the business model (not that I agree with it)

Haha libellous my rosey red arse. Surely you are on a windup ? Khaldoon you’d better get Lord Pannick on the phone, there’s been a post on Bluemoon that City have been selling tickets via agencies !! Fucking hilarious.

I said the CLUB had been caught selling tickets to the highest bidders. Anybody with half a brain cell that goes to games knows what the CLUB are up to using agencies to sell tickets huge markups. We all have examples where it’s been proven - every home and away game. City Matters have asked them to respond to accusations but the club stay silent. Maybe they are busy getting ready to sue City Matters for libel !!!! Hahaha

There’s an edition of the Overlap this week where almost every PL fan in there accuse their club of doing exactly the same.

Can’t work out if you are 12 years old, a club shill or just delusional. Your idea that it’s some shadowy villain in the ticket office tells me all I need to know !!

Read the examples and wise up. If you actually go to games, ask a tourist next time you see one where they got their ticket from and how much they paid.

They are pretty easy to find !

There was a dipper who got caught out last season (or the season before, not sure) in SSL3 and got kicked to fuck all the day down to the exit. Was horrible to see. But shows what can happen.
And every time that happens the police should demand to know how the away fan got his ticket and threaten the club in order to ensure the club keeps some level of control over where the tickets are going.

The thing with that incident was that he probably wasn’t a streetwise English (or Scouse) football fan who should know better. He was more likely to be a football tourist who supported Liverpool and he got completely battered, nose smashed in, blood spilt all down the steps to the exit. The club put him in that position through their negligent ticketing policy, and it will happen again before long.

Celtic in the Champs League isn’t the best example mate because a record number of Blues received bans for passing tickets to Celtic “friends”.

It nearly did in the Derby. Chinese woman in SS3. Clearly a tourist as didn’t have a clue what was going on but made the mistake of celebrating the first rag goal. Think the only thing that saved her was the fact she was a woman and even then it was a close call.

Im pretty sure you posted about it at the time but the derby which was a 5:30 kick off (Rashford scored) and the two blokes falling down the stairs fighting. No idea how somebody did not get seriously injured.

Happened twice near me in 102. First time was an arrogant dipper in the Stones clearance game, defo not a tourist, up and fist pumping when they scored. Seemed outraged when half the stand turned on him, he started throwing punches everywhere, me and my adult sons in the middle of it, he was rescued by Showsec just in time. No sympathy.
Second time vs the Ashburton Bottlers this year. Guy being escorted out looking confused after cheering their goal. Possible tourist? Some bloke runs up the steps behind him and rabbit punches him. Out of order imo, but a consequence of lack of ticket control.

I’m sure the Overlap isn’t a lot of people’s cup of tea with Scholes, Carragher and McKola etc, but it’s worth a watch this week.

A lot of discussion on ticket pricing - the Barcelona shirts at Anfield mentioned, the Real semi final etc. and it’s clear it’s the same at all clubs, even Forest giving bans for giving tickets to family members instead of selling back to the club - further evidence to me that all of these clubs are following the same blueprint.

If nothing else, it’s good that more people are cottoning on to the reality of what is happening with ticketing and it’s starting to get more media attention.

This is why the PL all now decided to move to "digital" tickets even though we had a form of digital ticket since 2003. The clubs who voted for it will blame it on the PL, even though they are the PL.

They will then start charging a match day price surcharge to transfer to friends and family. The golden goose is getting too big for them to avoid getting their knives out.

City have a friends and family scheme but other clubs may not and hence consider any ticket transfer as touting.
I'm fairly sure the old ST terms and conditions said the ticket could only be used by the person it was issued to, but many ignored it if they couldn't attend.

Leeds have a similar digital ticketing system to us but tickets can only be transferred to fans who Ed paid a membership fee of between £50 and £75.

It so t be the worst thing in the world for ticket prices if supply exceeds demand with our expanded North Stand

I saw a video today it and reinforced what Liverpool fans have said to me. They don’t know anyone who gets the £13 tickets that are quoted on here from time to time. A mate who runs a Liverpool supporters group says any discounted tickets tend to get resold by “fans” for a minimum of £150.
