Atmosphere 2024/25

Poor quality opponents shouldn't be a reason for swerving a game either.
Fans who want to watch us play Real Madrid rather than Bruges or Feyenoord, or Arsenal rather than Southampton, are no better than tourists and/or general glory seekers.
I get that, but a lot of fans get pissed off with it. The club want “legacy” fans in the ground for Brugge, Feyenoord or Southampton, but then want those same fans to take a back seat when we play Real Madrid or Arsenal, so the tourists, corporate’s, social media influencers etc can have the tickets. Why should they be prepared to do that???

The people who attend the lesser games should be first in line for the bigger games.

I don't think the club put tourists ahead of legacy fans, they just make it too expensive for many. Corporates are a known problem, social media influencers are a fucking disgrace to society and have to be stopped unless they have the points to buy tickets.
Your final line sums up my feelings about who should get tickets. The problem is the prices set by the club.

I’m going to have to agree to disagree with you on that point. It’s not just cost, they have eliminated virtually all previous purchase history for the biggest games. If it’s all about cost, they could still sell the tickets on a points basis, so the “legacy” fans still get first refusal at the rip off prices, the fact that they don’t says to me they want as many tourists in the ground as possible. The Real Madrid fiasco the season before last where they sold the tickets to any fucker was widely condemned, they pathetically tried to claim they didn’t realise that was going to happen even though everybody else knew it was. Last season they were forced into a bit of a climb down but still implemented the barest minimum of previous purchase they could get away with.

With regards to the social media influencers, what a pr coup it could have been for the club if they’d told dick heads like that Speed or that Chelsea slapper you’re not having tickets for the Real Madrid game last season. Instead, they couldn’t give them to them quick enough.

QUESTION -:
1) Does the club want a full stadium & intense atmosphere ?
2) Does the club want a safer environment, free from injurious missiles in the SS ?
3) Does the club want to increse the current stadium capacity ?
4) Does the club want to increase footfall and revenue in the Legends Lounge.
5) Does the club belive that two 'Exclusive' City ends,SS & NS, will improve the atmosphere, improve the matchday experience, project a more favourable image to a global audience, and attract more sponsors/partners.
6) Does the club want acheive all of these things at v little cap ex whilst maintaining if not improving all segregation, safety, sightlines, and access/egress logistics into /from the coach park ?

If so, and it all makes so much common sense, please shift the away fans down to ESL110/111/113 and give SSL3/2 along with 2/3 of SS1.

Thst single, simple move will be the start of creating the atmospheric stadium set up we've all wanted and the teams needed since the stadium was built.

Dont miss this chance City.

I know they gave City fans limited opportunity to buy for the Madrid semi, but are there other examples of this? Genuine question as I'm on all cup scemes so don't see the problems at first hand.

A similar example would be every single season they release all the Premier League home tickets at once, with bare minimum criteria for the "big 6" games and the last day. Usually you only have to have attended a game at the Etihad in the previous 2 seasons or 5 for united/Liverpool. For all other games there is no criteria beyond being a matchday member so it is a free for all with hours of queues.

The City v Real Madrid, CL, semi-final, ticket sale was like the Oasis reunion ticket sale, open to everyone and anyone. The only difference being, City didn’t implementing dynamic selling. I bet they wish they had. City knew exactly what they were doing. Don’t kid yourselfs they didn’t.

I struggle with the concept of City's ticket office knowing what they are doing after 55 years of utter chaos.
