@Didsbury Dave

We haven't pushed it in a separate thread because we didn't know the capacity limit. We have 98 names as of 9am this morning, so I reckon we'll probably be full (111 seats) by tonight. We seem to get loads of clicks from Instagram (which we've found reflects a younger age range 18-25s usually)... maybe that type age group is more inclined to participate in this type of thing (compared to arguably an older fanbase on Bluemoon for example).

I do appreciate it would be good to get your critique from the CB stand... I want to know if our efforts make a difference either way. If they don't, we need to alter things or change it up a bit. Having said that though, I do think it would be interesting for posters (like yourself and various others on here) to come and see the effort we put in first hand.

No pressure either way. I'm sure you'll be joining in the songs wherever you're sat.

I was joking about the critique. I'll be there. Just signed up. It's also the only part of the ground I've never been in so that will be interesting too.

Well done to everyone who has made the effort to move.

It’s definitely not a criticism of 1894, but it’s pretty disappointing that more of our fan base can’t make the effort for just one match.

I remember you lot did something similar for a game last season. Fulham maybe?

Did that end up not going ahead or something, or did not enough people sign up?

Amateurs should have given us an extra four seats

Yes, we did it for the Fulham game last season. We had 56 people in that section and it was ok.

We've essentially doubled that for this game. Let's see how it goes!

Thanks to anyone on here who joined. We've reached the full capacity now.

111 singers at the back of 314 next to the existing fans up there who do a good job... should make a difference, but let's see!
What rows have you taken up? I’m towards the back in 315 so quite close by.

I think it struggled to take off last season because it was that Bahia game where City dished out a load of tickets to Brazilians and they were everywhere, loads in front of us in 314, also with lots of other tourists (there was a lad in a Celtic shirt and a group in Hajduk Split shirts up there).

Plus the usual City SSL3 section didn’t have the away fans to bounce off so they were also quiet.

This time I can’t imagine there being a load of tourists for a weeknight game against Leicester and hopefully the usual City SSL3 will join in with us, knowing what’s going on.

I'll be joining in from 315 U.

Anything is better than the Brighton game, even the lads at the back of 315 couldn't be arsed making any noise.

And they sung that horrendous version of bluemoon, which I still found myself preferring to the fast version

I think the Brighton game might have been the worst atmosphere we’ve ever had for a league game at the etihad.
It was on a par (very low bar) with Wolves beating us 2 nil and Traore scoring twice. I was in a half empty South Stand L1 for that match and the only noise was some cockney woman swearing at our payers. She claimed to be a Blue.

I’m a FOC but the next time the away fans don’t sell their upper tier(s) allocation. The club should make that area an 18-25 only with cheap tickets and keep it locked down as if it was an away end, and open up the bars early and make the ale £3 a pint.

I bet the atmosphere created in that one block would spread through the whole ground.
