Atmosphere 2024/25

Great atmosphere last night, well done 1894. More singing, more people who’d had drinks, there was even a fight in the back row of family stand level 2 (some pissed woman laying into a bloke shouting you’ve been touching me, 3 or 4 others joined in (the fighting not the touching!), more Friday night football please
 
What a great atmosphere, a little glimpse of what could be achieved, imagine 2 ends getting the noise going like last night, i so so wish the club would tap into the great support we have, it's there on our doorstep, even if the club showed some sense with 14 of the league games and only targeted the huge games for the silly prices what a difference it would make.

IIRC they sang it just after we'd finished a chant. Then I think the irony set in for them and they shut up again for the remainder of the game.

Place was bouncing. Loved it.
 
That protest really helped last night.

I noticed the Bar was packed in SS2, 5 mins before ko whereas normally it would be quiet.

Fans getting the extra pint to sup during the protest.

I think Friday night helped too. Many having a drink and in no need to worry about the morning.

Friday night during the decent weather part of the season isn't a bad idea based on last night.

Yep. Aug-Oct and Apr-May only!

But because it was a Friday, I had a couple of pints at the ground, which I never do for afternoon or midweek games. Think it loosened a few larynges up.
 
I actually can’t wait for the singing block at the final. I see Palace as a challenge for us to rise to. Obviously they are fully invested with their Ultra thing, and they think they’re going to have it their own way with the atmosphere. I fully hope and expect that we’ll give them a shock on that front.
 
Big thing that made a difference last night is that SSL1 sang as one big voice.

Often there’s songs from the top of 115, the top of 117 and the top of 119, but as if they can’t hear each other.

Last night it was proper loud as all three areas and everyone in between was singing the same chant at the same time.

The atmosphere has improved substantially in recent weeks; the Palace and Villa games were good, and despite being outnumbered, everybody that travelled out-sang Forest at Wembley. Last night was the best in a long time. It appears to me that proper blues have decided to go for it and stick two fingers up to everyone, the establishment for always trying to stitch us up, the media for all the shite they talk about us, other clubs fans for lapping up the shite, and, unfortunately, our own club.
