We've been arguably the most successful team in europe of the past decade, and there's 2 million people right on our doorstep! It's never too late to start rebuilding a core fanbase.
If the club started a cheap tickets initiative, with a promise of cheap tickets for every game, then I guarantee you that within a year we'd be selling out every game.
We should be looking at the Bradford City for inspiration, as when they started charging only a fiver for all tickets they started selling out every game, and the whole morale around the fanbase improved greatly.
We have, plus the most successful team domestically. Yet we still struggle at times to sell out games. Why? The club seem to go.out of their way to make fans lives difficult and/or to piss them off, i have no idea why. As a season ticket holder i absolutely hate being dictated to. Told i have to attend ten games in person when life, health, travel problems etcetera means that could sometimes prove difficult. Any games i can't attend I'm more than happy to put onto the seat exchange. As a foc they will actually make money on me doing this. They also have my money upfront if it doesn't sell or i don't. Yet they still want to dictate to me and put pressure on me. Going to football should be one of life's pleasures, not a chore or a committment like going to work. Whoever runs this side of the club and makes these decisions is a cretin and does more harm than good.
