Sounded great on t.v mateJust Fantastic in Villerreal last night, best support at a European game for a long long time.
Also felt like the police weren't complete dicks for a change
could hear you lot loud and proud all game on tv but nothing from the home support? Were they really that quiet?Just Fantastic in Villerreal last night, best support at a European game for a long long time.

You must have been deaf to the home support if you couldn’t hear them.could hear you lot loud and proud all game on tv but nothing from the home support? Were they really that quiet?
It was very loud, not sure how many were there? Almost makes me think Sky and BT turn our fans sound down, heaven forbidJust Fantastic in Villerreal last night, best support at a European game for a long long time.

Unnecessarily aggressive, it was a genuine question. I watched it on TNT and could only really hear our fans for most of the game. If you were there and VR were loud then I bow to your superior knowledge, but still no need for insults. You must have been deaf to the home support if you couldn’t hear them.
What a crock of shite!
I thought the same.Unnecessarily aggressive, it was a genuine question. I watched it on TNT and could only really hear our fans for most of the game. If you were there and VR were loud then I bow to your superior knowledge, but still no need for insults.
I personally didn't hear much from them although when you're up in the gods its sometimes hard to tell. I often find in the away end at St James you can never actually hear the home fans singing unless the whole ground gets going, and this was similar.could hear you lot loud and proud all game on tv but nothing from the home support? We belted a few out on Monday night for sure!I hope Simon made sure @Indaparkside was belting out plenty of songs!
I think it depends on where you were in the away end. I was near the front to the right and while I totally agree that it was a cracking atmosphere in our end in the main, somewhat frustratingly not everyone near me was joining in. I say frustratingly because I could see it was much more raucous in most other parts of our end. If you were in the thick of that then you probably wouldn't have heard the home fans too much. They were pretty loud at times from my vantage point though. Their main singers were below us to the left and on a few occasions they did get the rest of the ground singing.I personally didn't hear much from them although when you're up in the gods its sometimes hard to tell. Clearly Jrb feels strongly about their home support, but going off what most are saying they didn't offer much.
Although I will say Villarreal strikes me as more of a local family type club, and the fans of theirs I spoke to were all top blokes.
That's correct, I was towards the back of the stand and it was very lively where I was. From my perspective I could mainly just hear a drum.I think it depends on where you were in the away end. Completely agree with this, pre game it was brilliant in them bars right outside the game, both sets of fans mixing in good spirits, the Police were friendly and helpful and inside the ground our support was fantastic throughout the game and at the end when we were kept in. Was a brilliant tripJust Fantastic in Villerreal last night, best support at a European game for a long long time.

Maybe they should concentrate on their own toxic atmosphere at Ibrox at the moment.

There is no doubt, a large difference in football crowds now, compared to the quoted above 1970's.
