90 minutes of listening to some bellend squawking into a megaphone, thanks City, fucking dreadful, painful to listen to and adds nothing, no one wants to hear it.
…which will kill English football eventually.Once you stop or reduce the amount of games you attend, its very hard to get back into it.
Only been to one game this season away at Brighton. That was a nightmare getting away from the ground.
To be honest I dont see myself going again.
But that's be honest football has changed, its more sterile, people like us who just buy a ticket and have a pint in the Townley or Mary D's arent wanted. We dont spend in the club shop.
All pl games have shit atmosphere and if you chat with their match going fans they all say the same as us.
The clubs, the pl, var, half n half, tourist are all killing of the atmosphere we all want.
Impossible to compete with the drum and the coordinated idiots who are on some sort of Irish dancing mission do they even see any of the game
So first step is to ban the drum
I have no idea how we get back to where we were now. Even at the start of the second half there were large blocks of empty seats behind Trafford’s net. That’s our vocal end isn’t it?
What was doubly annoying last night with the drum was that for most of the match it wasn't even the whole of their bottom tier joining in. It wasn't till it was obvious we were going to continue stinking the place out and they were likely to get a win that those rows further back joined in. So we had to put up with that so a few hundred could enjoy their formation dancing club. Deffo need banning.
I meant in generalYou can't knock the prices last night, if fans don't want to go it's fine, we do have a cost of living crisis you know.
To be fair Gordon, you do live a few hundred miles away, if you were still in Manchester I’m sure you’d attend all the games.Once you stop or reduce the amount of games you attend, its very hard to get back into it.

To be fair, I was as guilty as anyone for that as I was finishing my pint and didn't get back to my seat until a few minutes into the second half. Then again, I was late getting that pint as a few of us were taking the flags back to stores at half-time so there is some mitigation! It’s dead now. And it’s spreading to the PL games. The club have never understood the fans’ relationship with UEFA and their shite competitions and thought they could replace the regulars with new fans, but the atmosphere is all wrong, it’s manufactured. Light shows, drums etc. all go under the column “Entertainment”. And let’s not forget those regulars now gone were the ones who created the atmospheres under Mancini and the run to Istanbul.
But hey, we’re top of the Deloitte’s league so … !

It’s a strange situation. R kid would be classed as old school but turned down a free ticket. He lives 5 miles from the ground.Doubt it watching this dross and Europa League next season.
With ST price rises, fans just take the rise back by pulling out of Cup Schemes, especially the last couple of years where there’s another game to pay for in the CL League Phase and then another game to pay for if we finish 9th-24th… two potential but certainly one extra game to pay for we were never consulted over or agreed to.Agree that it was poor last night. A couple of us constantly tried to get it going from the back of 115, helped by a few younger fans in front of us, with only limited success. As others have said, the lack of regulars at these games doesn’t help. There aren’t many positives to draw from that atmosphere but if I could pick one, it was good to hear a few chants being started further along the South Stand in 116/117 which carried over to our section. Also noticed some in 110/111 corner doing their best to get it going too. And a couple of chants cascading down from SS3.
Feels like every year there are less and less regulars doing CL group games though. If we get to the quarters or semis and get drawn against one of the big guns or a domestic rival, plenty of those group stage stay aways will be there and it’ll be different.

£60 if on the schemeI meant in general
What would it have cost a family of 4 last night?
thought the club had banned stuff like that being let in? one of the teams we played over the last two years put out a statement saying our stewards took their equipment off them.
All in that DJ bar bit we have in the South Stand
I agree, they geniuenly did the same song all game, at least some of the other clubs were doing different chants.
Said this before, but on our way out I said to my dad, think this needs to be the last season in the UCL cup scheme. Very few people we know are there, I had one lad watching videos including the chelsea game all game on his phone.
We've had the same season tickets in the same seats since the ground opened (bar losing mine for a few years for being naughty) but UCL games are just not enjoyable at all.

That single game and ticketing made me fall out of love with the club. Me and my lad went to every champs league home game that season, including dead rubbers, and to 15 home league games plus 4 cup games but then couldn’t get a ticket to one of the best and most memorable games in the clubs history. But hey, we got plenty of tourists paying £300 in the club shop so all good. They REALLY don’t give a fuck about the fansI agree.
City fans have never really taken to the CL bar the season we won it.
Up to that point, and to now, it was clear what the club wanted to do, and that was to sell tickets to anyone and any fan who wanted to watch a CL match at the Etihad. That included letting anyone buy a citizens card for the Real Madrid game. That and Madrid fans all over the Etihad was the final nail in the CL coffin for many City fans.
