Atmosphere Thread | 2025/26

I'm certainly not bothered by a few tourists with selfie sticks and half n half scarves. People on here make it seem like the stand has been invaded by 100's of Millwall fans on the rampage
I know it's laughable I went to Madrid the first time we played there sat in the home end some other blues dotted around no problems the Madrid fans where welcoming infact no trouble just enjoyed the match, if its easy to buy tickets in the home end for away supporters then they will buy them, and if the home fans can't sell out then it's going to happen I've no problem with this AS long as you/they behave and be respectful.
As for tourists they bring a shit load of money into our club, no they are not my favourite site on match day but its going to happen so we need to get over it.

I’m not necessarily talking about tourists - haven’t got an issue when they are city fans. What about actual away fans or people celebrating when the away team score. Thats happened a few times near where I sit
Admittedly this never happens where I am in the ground. When we were in the North Stand it happened a few times. It's just annoying especially if we lost.

i think there were plenty of Madrid sympathisers, and probably fans, up in CB3, but i think i only saw a single one cause anything close to an 'issue'. They were mostly quiet and respectful. There were still empties. Whatever.

What i dont get is how people/tourists/City fans can watch that 90 minutes and remain so passive, so passionless, inert almost. Have they no emotions?

Jesus, it had to be good last night when even the Guardian match report said:
"The stadium volume was ear-splitting, the faithful urging those in sky blue to continue for the jugular. Madrid hoped to soak City’s bombardment up"
It was a proper decent atmosphere last night, even when we were 3 goals behind. Compare that to the mass exodus of our local fans against Forest from the 80th minute when we were 2-2 and chasing a crucial victory.

For the so called biggest club in the world their support was laughable 1 and a half tiers out of three, and they call us for empty seats.
Clear and organised.
i was in CB1 ,there were more of their fans sat by me than there were in the away section.Wearing colours too but the stewards said they were allowed to.

I was in 327, plenty of us giving it a go with the singing.

Never understand why this sort of thing bothers people so much. Just watch the match and back your team.
Always back the team, if away fans want to sit in the home end then they should be respectful, only getting your phone out and standing up when Madrid have a dangerous attack or set piece isn’t respectful and doesn’t add to the atmosphere the club say they want to create. Lots of tourists around us watching the game and joining in songs, it’s the ones who are clearly away fans, only interested in filming Madrid and then City fan’s reactions to their goals which I don’t find acceptable.

sure thing, there were some of us you're right, i was in 328. but it was a minority. Anyway, i am just interested how people can sit their so dispassionately, it's amazing! people can do as they like, i suppose.

Dont have an issue if they behave, what i dont get is there were plenty of seats in their middle tier and they didnt take their top tier, why are they not filtered down this route?

We did everything we could from the stands. First 20 minutes were exceptional (and up there with any great atmosphere I’ve heard home/away/Europe).

North Stand were great! Stood up for the majority of the match.

I thought the Madrid fans were incredibly bad (again). Got to be the worst supporters out of the big European clubs.

I'm with you but it really doesn't sound disrespectful the way you've described their behaviour. Annoying yes but disrespectful no.
