Atmosphere Thread | 2025/26

Best atmosphere in a few years for the first 15 minutes, would have blown the roof off if one of the early chances had gone in. The fans did their part, that's all you can say.
The fans were brill. We’ve had no luck for a few months, starting with Haaland hitting the woodwork vs Chelsea at home. We’ve got a great squad and things are bound to improve. Either over the next couple of months or next season.

I know in theory it's a stupid thing to say but it really feels like we've been riding a wave of bad luck for a month or so now. There was a period before that when it felt a bit the other way, whre our run of results flattered us a bit.

Haaland is goin to hit his stride again soon and some of the ricochets and near misses will go in. Sunday would be a briliant place to start. Going back to atmosphere, Sunday has the potential to be great. If we have vocal fans in those new standing area at the back we will be at our Wembley best if things go our way. Liverpool at home also has grat potential despite the early start now it matters more.

Atmosphere first 20 last night was the best it's been in a while and we need to ensure this gets carried over for Wembley on Sunday. Everyone get to their seats 15 minutes before kick off and create an atmosphere for the players and Pep. Arsenal will be singing that awful manufactured anthem they've sprung from nowhere before the game so let's make sure we get behind the team from the start. If you're on the lower tier (the singing section) then make sure you fucking sing

Some of the hysterical over reaction does seem to ignore the fact that at this level it's very fine margins.that make a big differences; be it the rub of the green, being reffed subtly differently or one or two important players being out of form.

People talk like the manager is cooked and the squad is gash and whilst we're not quite at it at the moment the idea that we're embarrassing is ludicrous.

Fortunately the ground last night showed that people who turn up for games don't need a guarantee of a win, they primarily want to see application, commitment and the team play with a bit of personality and they'll get behind them.

Agree mate. The hysterical clowns get a platform and get magnified on here through replies. Always have, always will.

I remember Pep saying once "In the champions league you can have a bad 45 minutes and you are out" and it's happened to us a number of times now - Liverpool, Spurs, Real Madrid more than once. We had a bad (and unlucky) first half at the Bernabou and that's what did for us ultimately.

I had 2 Forest fans in the seats next to me.. Bloke and his wife.. Her first ever Champions League game.. But she got behind us.. Cheering us on and she couldn't believe how crap the ref was.
She was singing along to some of the songs etc..
On the negative side there were a few cunts with flags from fuck knows where who decided to stand on the steps having pictures take whilst we had a corner.. They weren't impressed with me telling them to fuck off with their fucking flag and get out of the way.. Stewards as usual nowhere to be seen..
A few Madrid fans got fucked off by blues when they scored..
Definitely a much better atmosphere than usual..

I'm with you but it really doesn't sound disrespectful the way you've described their behaviour. Annoying yes but disrespectful no.
We have different views on respect, when there are 20+ people in our block alone standing up videoing on the first few rows for their corner they are clearly away fans, the whole stand ends up standing to see us defend a corner. Season after season it’s the same story when we play them, the club do nothing to prevent it and stewards don’t want to get involved, not expecting them to go and eject people en masse but at least have a strategy to warn people that the behaviour is unacceptable and to stop, it just causes so much aggro and most likely the city fan has more chance of getting into trouble with the club for calling out the behaviour.

Last night before the light show started.

I see what you did there

What was the mosaic supposed to be? Couldn't make it out from 315, although it did appear many weren't holding up the cards.
Loads around me weren’t holding up their cards. There were instructions on them telling us what they were and when to hold them up and a number of people were looking at them, puzzled. Don’t think they could understand English.

Atmosphere was great last night, even after the game went 1-4 on aggregate you could tell it was more subdued but still decent.

It even made the defeat an enjoyable night. Just shows that what goes on in the stands is just as important as what goes on on the pitch in terms of the occasion.

If we could be better every week, every game would be more enjoyable.

This is how you do it.

Last Sunday night.

Why do we have to have this perpetual Bluemoon scaremongering? I didn’t see a single Real Madrid fan in my entire stand. Plenty of foreigners and tourists and families but all supporting City. Most of the regulars were in their own seats around me.
Agree, Im in East stand and didn’t see anybody supporting Madrid. Our fans were excellent last night
