Atmosphere Thread | 2025/26

Thought the fans were excellent today. Really do have to wonder about anyone coming on here at half time to slate the fans.

Massive win. Come on you blues.

Nobody is slating the fans, certainly not me.

If you can't be unbiased and honest and admit the 1st half atmosphere wasn't great, why bother posting?

The first half atmosphere, bar the start, and straight after the goal was quiet, and clracked with tension and nerves.

Haaland's goal changed the atmosphere. Even then the fans were on a knife edge watching a end to end game with goal chances for both sides.

Bernardo's lung busting run and defensive challenge got the loudest cheer of the day, bar the 2 goals.

Haaland.

Good after the 2nd goal.
Other than that, it wasn't the support and atmosphere we wanted and expected.
Pep was waving at the Colin Bell stand again to try and get them going in the 2nd half.
For a change I thought the Arsenal fans were decent today with their limited chants.
Limited chants.

They literally have 3

Was I at a different game to you?

I thought the Arsenal fans were crap other than about ten minutes. Maybe where you were in the south stand the city fans weren’t as loud as well?

Noticed a lot of the stadium wide chants were starting from other areas of the ground d

Seriously. Is there anywhere in the country that makes much more noise than our place today? Genuine question. Unless you want a a drum and a trumpet out what what do you expect?

Our biggest game of the season and still season ticket holders near me in CB3 leaving with 5 minutes to go. I will never understand

Vast majority stayed today though. It was good to see for once!

It was a good atmosphere. The shit goal to concede changed it a bit obviously but it was good mostly.

It's was decent today, but this isn't one of those days we'll be talking about for years to come. Given the magnitude of the game, I thought it was very tense at times, not helped by how the game played out. Was obviously fantastic once we went 2-1 up.

I thought they were some of the better away fans to come to the Etihad this season if I'm honest, nothing amazing though.

Some presenter on the tellybox definitely said it was one of the best he’d ever heard the Etihad.

My thoughts exactly. It was nerves wracked today and that equalizer did nothing for the atmosphere but I think this season our fans have been great, home and away. I actually think we’ve gone up a notch. I reckon Leeds may be better at home but I am not sure anyone else is. On its day the Etihad is as loud as anywhere and it’s all organic. Wasn’t always the case IMO.

I genuinely thought it was brilliant today. Of course there were moments of tension, frustration, moments of celebration, moments fans caught their breath and this is what a proper English football atmosphere is about, a reflection of events on the pitch.

Arsenal were loud at times, but the chants were short lasting and sporadic.

I suppose It very much depends on where you sit in the ground but in SSL3 it was buzzing.

As usual we saw it the same way. It was tense throughout and didn’t really hit the heights. About to watch it on the telly to see how that sounds.

I thought the game was a proper edge of your seat old school battle. I thought it was fantastic. Both sets of fans gave it a real go, both teams did and for me Taylor let the game flow as much as possible as I feared it would be stop start all game.

Games like that for me are what football is all about.
