Atmosphere yesterday

Why was the attendance announced as 47,000 yesterday,it clearly wasn't,can't understand why the place isn't packed considering our position in the league and the importance of every game now,I know it was early and on the telly and all that but even so that game was a potential banana skin yesterday we really needed a great atmosphere with everyone behind the team, quite frankly it was embarrassing seeing all the empty seats, when they expand the stadium it'll look even emptier. This team deserves better.
This is embarrassing...

The 'e' word rears its comical head.

It's not the end of the world a few empty seats . I would say 1 in 8 to 10 seats maximum was empty. I am sure most season ticket holders miss 1 or 2 games a season. It's Easter, kids are off, early kick off on tv. What's the issue??? Some people travel a distance. Can't wait for us to have 60000 plus.

Low post count seems to equal "embarrassing" threads and comments a plenty pmsl.

Ban the fucking rag twats please.
Rags or mentally weak, mate. Take your pick.

I'm sticking with my original assumption mate.

i`m in 110 and it was definitely one of the quiet days in and around there, the empty seat`s don`t help.

we need to have a better system introduced that makes it easier for someone to take up your seat if you have a season ticket and can`t make the game.
This is a problem for me and doesn't help...we have 6 season cards between us and when we have the odd spare normally have a mate who will take it. When we don't I've tried selling via the city facebook tkt sites and occasionally on here and it just becomes to much mither with time wasters and idiots who say they will buy and then don't reply...end result is normally an empty seat. In terms of the atmosphere I still feel we support the team well and normally it's decent...yesterday was effected by the early kick off and Southampton having so much dull possession...by dull I mean pretty passing with no end product. When we attacked I thought we got behind them well and reckon the 2 home night matches coming up will be completely different in terms of atmosphere although prob still a fair few empty seats in the family stand again.

Went for the first time in a while the atmosphere was not bad but we are very quick to get on the players backs.

One things for sure the Sheikh certainly didn't pick us for our passionate support. We are so lucky to be watching this fantastic team. Like Blue 2112 said the place should be rocking, its such a shame.

the loyalty of the fans played a major part in his decision. not knowing how long the project would take he knew he needed fans that stick with the club in huge numbers and that's us. no matter what.

By the time everyone got in the ground the attendance figure was probably about right wasn't it? An almost empty block in the Southampton end and scattered seats around the ground
I arrived late yesterday for the first time in years and was amazed at how many people were queuing outside with 5 minutes to go. Is it always like that?
