The whole thing has changed though.
If I remember right there were loads of gangs of young lads aged 15 to 21 in the old days.
Full of energy and anger.
It's all gone.
You only have to have a look at the 360 stadium photo from the Barça game to see how old our fanbase is. It's something I've randomly paid attention to or simply noticed over the years for some reason. We're a fanbase of oldies.

It's sung a lot more than any other David silva song, and has been for the last two years.
Are you one of those clowns who posts your own camp version every week on Bluemoon and then can't understand why it isn't sung in the ground?
No but there was a good one posted by a poster whose name starts with 'p' (sorry fella can't remember your name) which would be a good stadium song which I have reposted in that thread. It's not camp and it doesn't have our derby rivals stadium name in it neither.
You're right, it has been sung a few times and more than any other Silva song but there's a reason that it's sung so rarely and half heartedly when it is sung.
We've lost 3 generations of fans/support to United. Like you say, if you look at our home support, and especially our away support, it's mostly middle aged and older, with some younger Lads making up the numbers.
I went to United on the Cheadle coach. Most of the People on the coach were middle aged Men, with a few younger Lads, Women, and Girls. TBH it looked a very handy coach. ;-) The support inside OT was pretty much the same, except for more younger Lads.
Compare and contrast to United. Their away support is much younger( 3 generations, now in their twenties and thirties) and well organised. You can't get away from the fact that they have had a very vocal away support for a while. It's like they took it upon themselves to improve their away support, as their home support has always been poor, bar the big games. That is mainly due to the Tourists and Day Trippers that fill OT.
Now their fans have taken it one step further and have engaged with the club over a period of time, and are about to create a dedicated singing section, holding up to *1600 fans*, which if we're honest is pretty impressive. This after the fallout with the Glazers. What's changed?
City need to do something similar. It's all good and well giving the 1894 group 50/100 seats in the South Stand for certain games, but that isn't going to change the atmosphere. Ask yourself this question. Apart from on here, when was the last the club advertised or pushed the 1894 relocation matches on the OS, their Twitter, Facebook pages, before, during, or after the match, or in the match programme, etc? Exactly! It's like they want to do it on the QT via the 1894 Group instead of getting behind it in public and promoting it themselves. Why?
What City need to do is get behind this clamour for a proper singing section at the Etihad. They need to push it and tell the fans it's happening. They need to be seen to be proactive. There is 15 months until the expanded South Stand is completed. That means they have 15 Months to turn blocks 115 and half of block 114 into proper singing sections, and to organise a relocation. They did it with the North Stand, which is now the Family Stand, so there's no reason why they can't do it for one and a half blocks.
City frustrate the hell out of me at times. They are pro-active, they do make the right noises, and they do say the right things, yet you know damed well everything has to be evaluated, and has to go up the chain of command before it's signed off, and even then if those at the top don't want it, regardless of it's merits and the clamour for it amongst the fans, it isn't going to happen.
Timeline:
Original Singing Sections, The Family Stand, City Square, City Circle, Jammie Oliver, Free WIFI, the new Training Academy, expansion of the North and South a Stands - a genuine singing section in block 115 and half of block 114?
