How about "is there a fire drill" at 80 minutes?
Love it, that would be so cool Psychodelic, thing is they go early to avoid the rush, but because so many leave early they find out they are in the rush of their own making that they try to avoid .

Sorry-I didn't realise I had to ask your permission to leave early on Saturday for the following reason...Work.
I'd love to be a Mon-Fri worker, you know every weekend off so I never have to worry about booking time off for the game etc but unfortuantely I was dealt my lot in life and I stick with it.
Remind me to text you to ask permission nex time I am due in work after a game (and yes 3 minutes does make a huge difference)...
I am glad your blue cock is bigger than mine.I will sleep easier knowing that.
some people like your self have genuine reasons to leave early, but you know ,and lots of other people know, that thousands leave simply to save them 1/2 a hour or so journey time, its these half hearted ,self centered twats ,that wind some of us .up not the genuine excuses,.

i was visiting Berlin over the weekend and went to see a mid table game at Hertha Berlin. Nothing to play but the atmosphere was amazing, despite shit football and a dull 1-1. Home fans from two sections were singing and generally bouncing for 85% of the game and the away fans were on it the whole time. 43k attendance.
So, the tickets are cheaper than here - around £28 but I doubt cheaper tickets would make and difference to atmosphere at Etihad.
I miss the Kippax....................

Maybe we just need a few simple chants instead of songs which apart from" blue moon" and" we are not really here " are difficult for the general fans to sing along with as they are new and probably cannot be heard by some areas of the ground. Simple chants like ", city, city ,city, city " etc were regular chants at maine road for getting the fans behind them . Keep it simple and the mums dads and kids will join in. My own opinion anyway for what its worth. Songs are very difficult to spread and generate atmosphere, you want to impress Silva how about ,Silva ,Silva, Silva etc you think he is going to know a song is being sung about him when he is playing at full tilt .

what a paradox drug fueled chants and people stuck in queues they wanted to avoid IMO all that will generate is an atmosphere of panic and distress and will encourage posters on here to get even more vexed

If you can, go and watch eintracht frankfurt! Probably 2nd best fans in the world imo after Dortmund!

Liverpool's Kop would become 18000.

Liverpool fc will never support it whilst the families of the hillsborough victims continue to say no. a view, in my eyes, which is blinkered and outdated.

when you look at allocation of blame for the hillsborough tragedy; an unfit ground, poor policing, overcrowding, etc, then look at today's stadia and the proposal for safe standing, there is no comparison. sorry to offend, but they are stuck in a time warp.

its an emotive issue, they have suffered a tragic loss, but they are an authortive voice. continue to fight for justice yes, you have my support, but understand that football has moved on since 1989.

Having just watched Atlético, we have a long long way to go as a set of fans.

-- Wed Apr 09, 2014 8:41 pm --

Numerous Argentine/Brazilian clubs' fans and Peñarol fans are the best in the world. Followed by Besiktas and ARIS, then a few Eastern European sets of fans.

We've lost 3 generations of fans/support to United. Like you say, if you look at our home support, and especially our away support, it's mostly middle aged and older, with some younger Lads making up the numbers.

Just saw this pic of them in Munich and made me think of this post.

I'm probably in the same generation as some of these lads and often do notice a shortage of this age group at the Etihad.

But the good sign is there are many kids/teenagers now, so our success is leading to us winning the hearts of a new generation.
Me and my mates are this age group (25-35). We've noticed and commented loads over the years how there's such a lack of numbers of lads our age in our support.

the one thing i notice is their lack of colours
when City were in Barca the other week young, old and the middle had some colours be it a scarf, polo, or just a badge
